Please clean house now for the love of Mike. The sooner we get it over with, the sooner we move forward. There is just way too much talent on this team to suck 80% of the time.
 
Same old same old.

Lose to what looks like on paper, a weaker opponent.
Starting a backup journeyman at Qb and an Oline that featured four players off the practice squad, never fazed the Giants and really gave no advantage to the Washington Redskins.

This game was a colossal coaching failure from the start as it seemed the new OC had no clue as to what Wink Martindale was all about and it showed in the offensive performance. If the OC's goal is to have Sam Howell on the IR by Week Ten, he's doing an admirable job of keeping pace to accomplish that goal. Brian Robinson and Antonio Gibson should walk into the offices at Ashburn tomorrow and demand trades because they are doing nothing but collecting dust and cobwebs on the bench. And the lack of importance of Olinemen once again haunted this offense because at one point the Qb only had on average, 2.25 seconds to throw the ball. Just inexcusable.

The defense wasn't much better in the first half. Giving up chunk plays, committing boneheaded penalties and allowed the Giants offense to look like Kyle Shanahan's 49ers today.
Jack Del Rio's seemingly game plan philosophy of Let's game plan nothing, see what they do to us and then try to cobble something together at the half, is just not winning football.
Some folks say we have talent..too much talent to look this bad. The coaching could be better but I find myself wondering if we as fans overrate our talent too much. This Dline should've dominated the Giants Oline made up of backups but it never came to fruition. It was instead the Giants Dline that did its job and dominated the Redskins poor Oline. Jack Del Rio's decision to rarely blitz and bring pressure hurts the team weekly.

IMO the game has passed both Jack and Ron by and as far as Bieniemy is concerned, he has shown so far he doesn't know how to keep his Qb from getting killed and he has no use for running the ball. It's all lip service from him so far. Maybe he could drag his ass through the office door and watch some film?

Today's game was just another reminder that this club is nowhere near contender status...just another page in what's turning out to be another lost season. I would not be surprised at all if this staff finds a way to ruin Sam Howell so that we can spiral further down and keep the mantle we wrestled away from the Detriot Lions of perennial loser.
 
It's funny. The argument on social on media is "You can't fire Ron and Del Rio! Who would you replace them with?" The answer to that is anybody. Do we really care if we are a five win team or an eight win team?
 
On a related note... went out for the game today. As we were leaving the bar, a guy comes up to me and says, "practice patience". He proceeds to tell me he's a Dallas fan, and would take Howell over Dak in an instant, and to just hang in, it will happen with Sam. Struck me as quite odd to be honest, having a Dallas fan proclaim Howell the "real deal" Kind of nice...
 


Not pointed at Allen specifically, but when is the team as a collective unit going to play this pissed off on the field instead of going through the motions for very large portions of Sunday's?

Agreed. This is becoming a weekly mantra by Allen and we as fans are starting to tire of it. Does the team listen to Allen? Take his attitude?

So far, it doesn't seem like it. Where's the head coach in all of this? Why aren't under performing players losing their jobs?

As I said in chat, it's time for guys like Lucas,Mason Brooks,Stromberg etc to be called upon to see if it makes a difference.
Andrew Wylie stating after the game that he's tired of seeing #14 on the ground...he should do us a favor and step down for the team.

I think it's possible our best o line might be.

Certainly the current configuration is weak through the middle and the edge.

Fair, but for goodness sake they should try something! The only reason not to bench or regroup the line is that proving yourself right or saving face is more important than fixing a problem. I think they were desperate to pin the o line problems on Sam and Sam shares some of it, but you know coming in that a rookie is going to need a more stout line so asking him to be perfect and giving him a trash line to work with is incompetence.

No matter what there is no reason that they should in year four have this bad a line. They should have had rookies ready to step up for people we lost in free agency. We should have done better in free agency. Everything on the field can be pinned on Rivera. It's year four and "in charge of it all" He has no excuses.
 
The other thing I noticed is when Lucas replaced Leno the line seemed to improve and when Stromberg replaced Charles the line seemed to improve. What that suggests to me is that the coaches are not putting our best players out there. SilentThreat may be right that our best is still trash, but seeing this line perform like this for half a season and being content with it is just ridiculous. How can they think no one deserves being benched?
