Official Game Thread - Week 13 - SNF - Broncos @ Commanders

no loss is a good loss, but given the season and where we're at...this was the best way to lose. also, I still love mclaurin.

Yes I get it, but this is the strategy that has happened throughout all of the blowouts. It's been very consistent. It has not worked.

CRod has been running really well and then yanked. It hasn't worked out well, subsequent drives are duds. We are throwing away some good play-action opportunities in my opinion when we do that, DQ talks about how damaging running+play action is to a defense. Just don't agree with the strategy.

We underutilize play action in general imo, even when the run IS working

Haha, he knows how to catch the oblong ball man! I like how he does that.

If I grade his negotiations, sure, it's possibly an F. However, I generally look at these guys from the lens of how they play the oblong ball primarily. Yep, I'm a fan.

Terry is such a monster. I hate to see the fans turn on him. We always have a chance to win when he plays. He would have went for 140 and a TD in his first game back while playing limited snaps if it wasn't for that bs penalty. He is a monster. Get him and Jayden in their groove and this offense will be elite again

Horrible year for us to have a poor roster build, tons of injuries, and Daniels getting hurt. League is wide open, no truly dominant teams. Lots of teams not as good as their record and lots of perennial winners facing poor seasons where they may miss the playoffs for various reasons. Would’ve been a great time to actually build on what we did last year.

Silver lining: some other bad teams won today

Pasting this here in case the mods want to disagree.

No, can't argue any of that. I think the call on Connerly is probably technically correct, but when a pass rusher comes in that low, it's almost impossible not to 'hold'. Pretty ticky tack regardless to take away a big play at that point in the game on such a borderline penalty.

This was a game where the officiating (especially at the end of regulation) seriously made me wonder if the fix wasn't in.

I’m glad the team showed some fight, and this was certainly more fun to watch than the embarrassment of the past two months, but I’m not a big fan of moral victories. Reality is we are on a 7 game losing streak now, unable to win a game, and as our record indicates, one of the worst teams in football. But at least the team looked like they want to be good, maybe that’s something to build on.

Kliff doesn't get it, although it is one of the most consistent comments DQ talks about. One of quite a few disconnects you can see in their respective pressers over the last 2 years. Not the ideal look.

I assume you think the DEN 4th down play that was called DPI was too obvious to ignore? That would have ended the game.

NYG a few years ago, obvious DPI - they overlooked it and game over. That happens more than a penalty to avoid the end of game, I think.

We got just enough calls for me to feel that where the refs screwed it up was poor refereeing.
