Official Game Thread - Week 11 - Commanders @ Texans

I'm gonna keep saying it. With our DL thriving, why risk putting him out there before he's 100%? Taking that risk could literally end his career if he's not ready. It's week 11 and there's no reason to take that risk. Shelve him and look to next season.

the risk is the need to pick up his 5th year option in the coming months.

ME? I don't know that i'm comfortable paying him a long term deal at this point. I need to see it... granted i'm not the one writing the check, but to this point we've still only seen potential in flashes. I think we may ultimately justhave to pick up the option regardless of what we see over the next few months, because at this point I'm not comfortable paying him long term, what he's going to want. 2023 may be the true evaluation year and you have to ask yourself, do you want to go into 2024 offseason with a year more of control, or risk him balling out in 23 and then you're competing in free agency?

Tape of Chase Young today. Man - to me he looks very tentative pushing off on that leg.

And now they don't have their top draft picked rookie CB?

HOU lucky to be only down 17. WAS should be up by more after completely dominating the half, but I doubt that HOU has the firepower to make them pay for failing to fully capitalize on this.

Small reverse jinx activated.

20-0 is hardly failing to capitalize. It's not like we're the only team in the league that doesn't score a TD on EVERY red zone trip :) That was a pretty dominant half by all 3 units.

Thanks for the red zone stats. I actually thought that all NFL teams in history had scored TDs 99.9999999999% of the time in the red zone (the Canton Bulldogs had to settle for a FG during one game in the 1931 season), so you educated me on that :)

At the time of my post, the score was 17-0 (with 7 of those points via a defensive TD) with a yardage advantage of 185-6 and an overwhelming TOP advantage as well. If you are happy with that offensive performance, then I hope I am your offensive coordinator when you become a head coach :)

I don’t want to be a head coach - because I’d have to read this kind of complaint after getting the job done as a team on Sunday.

it wasn’t a perfect effort but it was well more than enough. I’m pretty happy we didn’t see the ‘next game’ collapse we’ve seen so often after rare big wins over the years.

We won a game we were supposed to, flawless, no but we won a game we were supposed to, seems like it's been awhile we did that.

Solid win.

Defense played great.

Offense still has issues but did enough today.

On to Atlanta.

Lord have mercy. I finally found a game I could just watch and enjoy.

The only real fault I see is we need to bench Bostic. He's done.
