We lost this game today. Period.
Buuuut…
I’m kind of amazed at how egregiously awful that spot was on the 4th down attempt. I had to rewind because I thought I had the wrong yard line.
There is no way that ball should have been spotted at the 42.
Now… did Ertz have the first? Well, that’s a different topic. But there was MORE than enough evidence to overturn the original spot at the 42 yard line and put the ball where they believed Ertz was touched. And then measured.
Instead they opted to put their fingers in the ears and yell really loud.
As far as the team goes it still is missing a lot of pieces. Noah Brown has been excellent, but he’s not a #2. We need another high end receiver.
I’d like to see Sinnott start to earn a bit more playing time. Our line needs another high end upgrade. Even with Lattimore we need another starting corner (so Lattimore, New guy and Sain in the slot with Noah as primary back up) and we could probably use a safety.
But our new DL is better than the “best DL in football” with Young, Sweat Payne and Allen… and it only has one of those guys.
Daniels played relatively well today. I know it wasn’t a typical game for him but he didn’t make any egregious mistakes. He missed a few. But played okay. McLaurin was great.
If I was doing a Next Day Thread, though, Zaccheus would have gotten 3 frowns. Wow was he off.
Anyways, on to Philly.
