I know - it's the exact opposite of what should be posted about in this thread. But as I've been on an alcohol break I have been trying quite a few N.A. beers. Stella Artois makes a really nice one. A couple weeks ago, Neophyte recommended 'Athletic'. They make a couple different beers including a Mexican style copper, some IPAs, and an ale. To my surprise, they are carried by most grocery stores, and I have tried 3 of them so far. Minus the buzz, you will think you are drinking a really nice beer. Impressed.

Now back to the alcohol :)
 
My neighbor and best buddy Redskinskinfan bought me not one but TWO Jayden jerseys (because I said I was never buying another). Happiest woman on the planet here!!!

AND Riggo's #44 is being retired? I deserve a cocktail.
 
I had been searching for a certain Cabernet by a vineyard that makes several varieties. The best is "Indian Wells" whatever that means. I finally asked the guy at the store and they had it all along, but not where the other Cabs by this vineyard werem No it was on entirely different wall.

This makes about as much sense as when my local grocery store, under orders from corporate, totally rearranged their store. Now paper plates are in one aisle and paper towels are 2 aisles over. Are they not similar products?

Yeah, that's kinda crazy...they consider them all to be "picnic goods" usually...the paper plates, napkins, forks, etc. I had a serious time trying to find the right things for my husband's memorial service.

Indian Wells is a tennis tournament. :LOL:

Tennis.....tennis....nope name doesn't ring a bell. :D

Weird what happened there. When I was young you couldn't get on a court. Most of my friends and I played, so many people did. I watched Borg and Connors with great interest. Now? Courts are being converted to pickleball. It's not even on my radar, and it's Wimbledon time of year.
 
Another tennis player here. Played HS and college. I was one of those guys that was on the courts at Fairfax Racquet Club at 6am for a game before heading to work.

I always watched Connors before any big match just to fire me up. Loved the way he played. Connors vs Borg were great matches, but Connors vs Nasty or McEnroe were more entertaining to watch.

It's pickleball for me now and yes, our neighborhood replaced two tennis courts with three pickleball courts this past year. I would never want to live next to pickleball courts though. Too noisy.

My husband would text me tennis scores while I was waiting tables...I hated it then, but really miss it now.
Seriously, some of the angles and shot selection are awesome, going back to Pete & Andre. I'm really glad he and Stef have helped the pickleball phenom. There are churches here sponsoring memberships.

Pickleball is booming and the equipment is inexpensive.
 
I kind of want to try pickleball but don't have enough interest to find playing partners. It may remind me of when I took racquetball in college. I just did it for the credits but figured as I played tennis I would be good at it. I was, at first. Putting a racquette on a ball came naturally to me. But I didn't adapt to the different game, as I did a big wind up for a topspin forehand my opponent used quick strokes to kick my ass.
