Liquor, Beer, Wine & Cocktails.....What do you like & what are you drinking?

Yeah, brewed right there in Frederick Maryland. From DC, it's right off 270 before you get to Frederick. I've been to the brewery 2-3 times. You have to make a reservation, but the tour is free. Then afterwards you get to drink at the bar. Large selection of Flying Dog beers to choose from, but they don't sell Double Dog at the bar. They know you'll be trying to drive home. Flying Dog Brewery. Nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon with your buddies.

I thought that they closed & moved their operation to New York.
I like the Gonzo porter.

I’m a big Scotch guy but tonight to celebrate the win it was Bourbon. Woodford Double-Oaked to be exact. 👍🥃

I like a good Raging Bitch (IPA)

Often visit Flying Dogs bar in the Baltimore airport

Anyone try either of these? Read a story about the one on the right and my cheapass told me to try the 50ml bottle first.

Prob save them for Sat night..since my liver died 30 years ago or so in Morgantown. 😆

Great call on the 50ML bottles!

I always try to find them at BevMo if I'm trying something different. Fwiw I drank the Pot Still Bourbon one tonight before dinner. Wasn't anything special to me and I really couldn't make out any hints of anything.

That’s a Thomas Keller ‘joint’, right?

Yep. Food was insane. It's about 1/5 the cost of French Laundry (which is just down the street a few blocks) too. Can't imagine how good the food is there, based on Ad Hoc's food.

Last night's menu (it changes daily).

I hope that old fashioned was better than my attempt at the same. Bacon washed bourbon was just not good to my palate.

It was phenomenal but I'm also not a well versed Bourbon drinker. I tried to look it up last night and this seemed like the closest/ best version of how Ad Hoc does it.

I'm certain it was my poor attempt at fat washing bourbon :)

Grease in my bourbon?

No thanks. I'll just cook up a steak.
