Let's Make a Deal: The Trade Thread

Well There It Is Jurassic Park GIF

Tunsil is a baller, that immediately does solve LT and should solve another position once we move Coleman.

Tunsil - Coleman - Biadasz - Allegretti/Cosmi - Wylie, maybe?

Big help. Not thrilled sending 2 potential impact picks in 2026 but I also get the move. Huge upgrade and gets the line in a much better spot.

It can't get more perfect than this IMO. They basically give up nothing in this draft. So, if they still want to trade for Hendrickson they could. Or if not they still can trade back and get more picks.

An elite LT in his prime wasn't on my radar at all. That seemed impossible. i was resigned to a so so O line. Now whenever Cosmi comes back, this can be a good O line. If they add someone else, potentially very good.

It's gotta be Tunsil - Allegretti - Biadaz - Wylie - Coleman.

Then Cosmi takes over at RG when healthy. Wylie dukes it out with Allegretti at LG and/or becomes the primary backup OT.

I don't know why everyone wants to move a good OT body to Guard in favor of someone with a Guard body who stays at OT. I get Wylie had a bounce back season, but he also had an absurd amount of help while he was healthy. Lots of TE chips, Slot WR's were even chipping. It helped prevent early losses for him that he struggled with in 2023.

You know it's a good trade when an all pro pass rusher on your division rival is mad.

Someone with more of a league-wide view…please explain to me why Houston would make this trade.

Tunsil's cap hit, assuming no rework/extension:

2025 - $21.3 M
2026 - $21.3 M

I'm reading a 3rd and 7th this year and a 2nd and 4th in 2026. This was not how I expected them to build this team and I guess the Coleman experiment was over and we didn't even know it. I guess this is the price you pay for a great player.

Edit: That was the first report I read. Now I'm seeing A 2nd and 4th next year along with this year's 3rd, we get back a 4th (this year I believe) and Tunsil. I hate giving up picks but we need a proven player at LT and he's one of the best. I"m OK with this.

Didn't Houston give up 2 firsts to Miami to get Tunsil?

Just got home and have read conflicting reports…did we give up a 2nd this year?

I think it’s a very short-sighted move on Houston’s part. Makes no sense when you e got a young QB needing protection as well and it’s not like that’s a Kings ransom in picks

Absolutely. I know fans hate giving up picks for anything, but the Texans just really made life harder for Stroud who is only one year further into his career than Daniels.

Sure, he gets some penalties. The Texans are not going to see LT play like that again for probably a decade unless they crater one year. Same situation as us after we moved Trent. They don’t know what they’ll be missing

AP found a sucker imo

No. 3rd and 7th this year, 2nd and 4th next year, and I think we get their 4th this year back. That's what I saw initially anyway.
