Kliff other jobs?

I don’t see how Bears don’t hire him.
i can. by Kliff saying no because he want to go to a dysfunctional team and leadership. also bears fans are terrible idiots and, they alone, would dissuade potential coaches.

He has a 3-year contract correct? I think he wants to take a shot at trying to get a ring and learn more about how to build an organization correctly. I think he stays here for another 2 years before he takes his next head coaching gig. He's got money so that's not a primary motivator.
2 years would be great...but I think 1 more year is more likely if Jayden doesn't have a Stroud like regression.

Kliff is still second fiddle to Ben Johnson as far as coveted offensive HC candidates go this cycle. Given that he's collecting HC money from Arizona till 2027, better to stay with an ascending Daniels and Washington until you become the belle of the ball. You get your pick of situation, more money, more leverage in terms of staff and other things, make sure it's the right roster situation...

It's like a 1st/2nd rounder staying in school another year at a blue blood program, making a ton of NIL money, and trying to become the #1 overall pick in next year's draft.

Kliff isn't good HC. The question will be, does he understand that and want to stay where he is in a great spot, or does he have that will or need to be in charge.

I'm sure having Caleb would be exactly what he would want as a HC but dang, their FO and ownership is sketchy

I don’t think at this ‘point’ that he wants to be a lead dog. ‘At some point’ sure but not at this point.

I think he should take the interviews. Don't think the Saints are a job anybody in a comfortable spot should consider. Bears, yeah they have Caleb and Kliff worked with him. Also, their front office seems to be kind of tense right now. So, he'd have to decide if that's for him.

Would rather both he stayed here, and he takes the offseason to improve some of his situational playcalling that has become a bit predictable at times. Would like to see his offense with an improve OL and better weapons for Daniels.

I agree with all you said except the 1st sentence. Why do you think he should take the interviews?

After reading this article, this is where I stand. https://www.espn.com/nfl/story/_/id/43325839/washington-commanders-kliff-kingsbury-success-offense
Kingsbury said his time with Quinn has opened his eyes to what he could have done better with the Cardinals. Quinn, who was fired by the Atlanta Falcons six years into his first head coaching job, transformed the Commanders from a 4-13 team to a 12-game winner in his first season, much of it due to applying lessons learned from his failures in Atlanta.

"I don't think I set the foundation [in Arizona] the way I would do it after watching [Quinn] and how he set the foundation from day one," Kingsbury said. "These are the standards, this is what we want, this is what we're going to be. I definitely could have done a better job of that."
If you are already getting double paid, why not spend some time and learning more how others run an organization and team before jumping in again?

Kliff worked with Caleb for a year. He literally hasn’t said boo about whether he would want to sign up to do that again. For all we know, Kliff thinks Caleb is a prima-donna, no talent ass clown and he'd prefer to dance the jive naked in the club level than have anything to do with him.

Or he might really like him.

We have absolutely no idea because he’s not saying.

But sometimes the dots don’t connect the way you think they would.
Worth noting that he was on the cusp of becoming Chicago’s OC. Obviously Williams wasn’t in the fold then, though there’s stuff out there that they planned to draft him a while before pursuing Kliff… 🤷‍♂️

Because eventually he'll want to do it again, it's good practice, and it's good for us if he sees other franchises that aren't really run well right now. If he chooses to not do it on his own, fine. From the team perspective they should let him do what he wants. Sends the signal how this franchise isn't run shitty anymore.

Taking a step back, this is a great problem to have! It means we have a good offense. LOL nooooooobody was kicking down the door to hire Scott Turner or EB from us, for example.

I really hope Kliff sticks around and continues to grow with JD5 another year. However, I'm not trippin out if he bounces. We have Lynn, Johnson, Pritchard, Blough, etc in-house to choose from and keep some familiarity going forward for Jayden. And big-picture, talented offensive guys will want to work with Jayden down the line, and for DQ. So, thankfully, I think we are in a good spot.

Im a little surprised nobody's been sniffing around Lance newmark.

On the money side he's still getting $7M a year through the end of 2025 from Arizona to not coach there.
Its actually through 2027 . . . he signed a 6 year deal in 2022 that expires after the 2027 season.

Rumor is that Ben Johnson is very interested in bringing Newmark along if he takes a HC gig.
That would imply he wants all the power or a team searching for a GM and a HC. Seems unlikely a GM is going to hire Johnson and then bring in Newmark to oust himself.

Yeah but it won't be in Chicago if he goes there. McCaskey has backed Poles and it appears he may have signed an extension (although everyone is being cagey about that when asked).

All these teams with openings aren’t run properly. I don’t think I’m too worried about Kliff going anywhere. I guess if I was Kliff, I’d seriously consider the Patriots. That’s the best run team with an opening right now. Jags, Jets, Bears, Raiders are all run like crap.

Yeah, I don’t think New England is a flagship NFL franchise any more. Belichek couldn’t do anything without Brady… he was hiring defensive coaches to be offensive coordinators. They let his contract expire. He garners interest from Blank in Atlanta and Kraft intervenes to disqualify him. Then without process, hires Mayo in one of the most bizarre hires. Then fires him after 1 year because he lost the team early in his first season. And now once again, going the sentimental route, are lookin seriously at Vrabel.

I’m sorry, NE is just not a serious franchise any more. Hasn’t been since Brady left.
