Kirk got a monkey off his back.
My only gripes:
1) He threw a pick-6 that was dropped.
2) We should've come away with more than 20 points. Bad defense, 3 INTs, Tress Way giving us field advantage.
Yes - blind luck that pick was dropped. I will have to ask though, how many times is McVay going to call that play and see it picked 6 or nearly picked 6 before he rethinks it. Cousins does not have a rocket arm - and you need a rocket arm to consistently and safely make that pass. On top of that, we're calling that play against one of the best corners in the league? It was a dumb play and a dumb pass and we were lucky it didn't cost us.
Also agree on the INTs, although people who say we 'got nothing' from them miss the obvious point that they crushed Giants drives. But you have to get points from those takeaways. Most times, those are the points that would've made the difference in the won-loss column. We got away with it yesterday.
Btw - anyone have any idea how many takeaways we've had this year? I can't remember getting this many INTs in a long time.
