Or do like the rest of us do and enjoy Goal's mom. He doesn't mind, ignore the cussing and ranting that ensues, he does it out of love :D

The important things to remember are as follows.....

1. The Redskin are always the number 1 priority above all else.
2. Boone, Om, and Henry are superheroes. If they tell you the sky isn't blue, it's because they changed it.
3. Avoid the Political Asylum. Unless your a fan of insanity and migraines.
4. BGO stays crunchy, even in milk.
5. I used to have multiple personalities, but we're doing a lot better now.
6. If you have a question about anything, it is almost certain there is an expert on the topic amongst us, so ask away. This fact amazes me every day.
7. Our cooking is top notch. Make sure you head over to the what's for dinner thread if you want your mind blown by our recipes.
8. We will debate any topic, no matter how absurd. And a few months later, we'll debate it again with only slightly altered arguments.
9. As a whole, we're hilarious. Seriously, I have never not laughed my ass off when I'm on here.

Extreme - were your ears burning last night? I was a foot away from the infamous Goaldeje and we were talking about you. Don't worry - it was all nice :) Btw - for the record, Goaldeje is a great guy - great to meet you James!

I've never met him in person, but I agree he is a very decent guy. I don't let political ranting and raving blind me to that fact.

I think it actually changes the definition quite a bit :)

Like, if he was "all right", I would be taking all of his game predictions, and betting loads of money based on those predictions, and I'd be a very rich man already.

But I'm not.

So, while he's not all right.....his is actually allright :)

Which then leads me to wonder - is saying that someone is "not all right", the same saying to them, "dude, you are not right" ?
 
Hello! Nice to meet you, I'm Lanky.

This is a fantastic site, my first stop every morning. I've made friends with a lot of you, but I think many of you still don't know who I am yet. Well, here goes:

I am an opinionated, die-hard Redskins fan! I am stubborn, and have a tendency to argue a lot. In fact, I love to argue - you could even list it as one of my hobbies. What does this mean? This means I have many opinions about many things, and I have come to this website to express them, and sometimes I will even vehemently defend them. You will not always agree with my opinions, and that is also fantastic! Let's debate them! I would love to debate with you over the effectiveness of the zone read, Hankerson's potential, or how wrong you are about Ladell Betts (love you, McD). I've been told my opinions often come off like I am stating fact - please be clear, that this is not the case. I don't want anyone to think I walk around with a head so big I feel like everything that comes out of my mouth should be taken as gospel. It shouldn't. Most certainly I don't want anyone to take offense to what is said - I have enjoyed beers, Skins games, Orioles games, HOF induction ceremonies, drunken rides to Arlington via Laurel, etc. with many of you, and I would hate to ruin any (more) friendships because of anything posted on here. Unfortunately, some are beyond repair, but it happens.

If you feel overly-angry about something I have posted, please let me know. I most likely did not mean for it to come off as offensive, and would hate for you to be offended by something I wrote that was not meant that way.

I have been called many things in the past several months, mostly via PM - some of them are correct, many of them are not correct. But always remember this - my opinion is only my opinion. I feel strongly about my opinions; they may not always be correct, and they may not always even make sense, but they are mine. Please respect that, as I respect your opinion. Don't make assumptions about me (or anyone else) on this board simply by the way you read my posts. I'm just like you - a Redskins fan who likes to talk about the Redskin on the internet.

First and foremost and always, Hail to the Redskins.

Already posted, but thought I'd make it formal.

Hi all, been enjoying reading your comments on all things Redskins for the last few months, and happy to have signed up. Heard about the site from the 'SkinsCast' podcast, one of a couple of Redskins specific ones I enjoy.

My Redskins and all around NFL knowledge might not be in the same league as you learned folk, but I know I love the sport, and more specifically, the Washington Redskins. I know the historical basics, but would appreciate recommendations of biographies of famous Redskins coaches and players from years gone by? Often find the lesser known members of a team can make for the most fascinating insights, so wary of going straight for Gibbs, Riggo etc. Currently enjoying 'Collision Low Crossers'. Anyone else read it?

Rather ambitiously staking my little corner of England as Redskins Park, UK. Lifelong Tottenham fan, who stumbled upon the Redskins by chance in 2004. I was in a charity shop in Australia and found a donated #44 shirt for 1 Aussie dollar. No name on it, just 'REDSKINS' emblazoned across the front. I loved it, and being on a backpackers budget, it formed the cornerstone of my wardrobe for my world travels, and I would often be drawn into conversations with backpacking American 'skins fans while wearing it, telling me that 2004/05 would be our time, because of a guy named LaVar Arrington (that one worked out nicely then!). It's about as tenuous a reason as you'll find to support a team, but just like when you meet the right girl... maybe there is no logic you can apply, you just know it's right :sweetheart:


If there were any questions you had on the English Premier League (but were afraid to ask), I'm sure I can help.

Returning home, I began to follow the teams results, eventually learning the significance of the #44, and you'll often find me on the sofa on a Sunday evening watching redzone (if the 'skins aren't the featured game on 'sky') or at 1:30 am (5 hours ahead of you folks) on a Monday or Tuesday morning watching the Redskins, should they make it onto Sunday or Monday night football. Work days following these games can be described as 'unproductive'. This season has been a tough one to drag myself out of bed for. Especially San Francisco *desperately trys to find a vomiting 'smiley'*

As part of my world travels, we stopped into DC for a few days in December 2004, but alas, were unable to get tickets for a game. It remains a lifelong dream to watch the boys at FedEx field and join in with a chorus of HTTR. Went to the Jags/Niners game at Wembley last year, and have tickets for Lions/Falcons and Jags/C*****s this year. The latter, simply to go and wear every bit of Redskins merchandise I own and rabidly root for the Jags... the next best thing to having the Redskins over here, which would be incredible, although I appreciate you may disagree.

Just to fill in the blanks, I'm a married Dad of 2 young girls, work in money broking in London, and soon to be moving to the Kent coast from our current Essex (London suburbs) abode. I've rather ambitiously tagged my location on the member map from the new home:smile2:

Nobody and China gives arcade lessons almost never.
Special K has aerobics classes three days a week and periodic advice for continuing students.
RG3 does everything for us - no other explanation needed.

UK, it is truly an honor more for us that you have joined us. It's always great to have fans from other parts of the world, no matter the reason for it. As you will quickly learn, although you may have already, there is no other place online that compares to BGO when it comes to the level of people we have here, and we welcome every addition. Personally, I have never had the pleasure before of being able to interact with such a widely diverse group of people as I have here, and I'm fairly certain any other member here would tell you the same thing. The level of expertise you can find on questions from stocks to football to medicine to law to auto repair and everything in between here, it's just something you can't find anywhere else in the world. Even those of us who butt heads, we still pull it together and embrace on Sundays when our boys are playing, because that is the one root thing we all have in common and put everything aside for.

If you ever have any questions of any kind, you'll find there is an expert (or someone like me who pretends to be one from time to time) on just about anything. We love to laugh, we love to have fun, we love to talk, we love to obsess about our team, we love looking at pretty ladies (even though google made us stop) and sometimes we even love to fight (even though some of us pretend we don't :laugh:)

Feel free to stick around a while and tell your friends. I assure you the pleasure is ours. Welcome to the family.

Edit: BB was spot on with his list. It sounds funny now, but when you've been here a while, look back at the list, and you'll completely get what each statement means. It just dawned on me, and I chuckled at the accuracy even though it was in jest :D

As far as Serv goes, he is the resident encyclopedia. No need to ever question any facts or figures he presents, because they will never be off. It's nice to have somebody like that who is willing to do all the dirty work. And he's damn good at it :)
