Exactly what I was thinking. Except that RGIII was running the ball and never received a catch, the "possession" aspect of the rule was exactly the same.

In re Bryant's behavior and volatility, why do you think the Cowboys have not already given him a new contract?

They're afraid of being burned in case Bryant does something dumb and impulsive and ends up in jail or on the commissioner's list.

With his talent if Bryant was known as a standup guy like Reggie Wayne he would have gotten his $$ by now.
