Fire Shanahan on Tuesday November 26th at 10am!

Actually, there is just a bit of a silver lining. We could pick somewhere in the top three of the second round. It's not unusual for some first round gems to fall that far. An early pick in the third round can sometimes net you another projected first rounder or a very solid second round talent.

Don't use logic when I am trying to be irate lol

The good news is I may have calmed down enough to go to bed now since I have to be up in less than 5 hours for work!

Ax, I love you buddy. But, you, are, to, commas, what Larry is to underlining.

My honest wish for the remainder of this season is to sit Griffin, and let Kirk show us what he can do. Then assess from there. From that point, based on his performance, we can either trade him for a good return or trade Griffin. I don't care who you are and what was paid to get you, if you get outplayed, you gotta go. Think back to when Brady was given the job over Bledsoe. People went nuts. Then they traded Bledsoe, and people went even more nuts. I seriously doubt the Pats wish they could undo that trade. It doesn't happen a lot, but it does happen.

Either way, anyone who thinks this coaching staff will ever assemble a contender, needs their head examined.

Brady was a late round pick and Bledsoe was the high paid incumbent who had a probowl resume just sayin.

Rg3 is not the godamn problem, anyone watching tonight, saw what we have IF WE PROTECT THE GODDAMN QUARTERBACK. if there were any doubts where the issue is on offence they should have been laid to rest tonight. when given time, rg3 is a stud, when he is hit on every down, he is merely decent. if we had a oline that didnt belong in nfl europe, we wuold again be a solid offence.

Bottom line if shanny doesnt vastly upgrade this line, this offseason I want him, his kid and his entire staff GONE. no extensions either, they have had long enough if he doesnt get it done next year he can piss off. hell I would be ok with firing him right now. I dont think he will get it done

Mike Shanahan now has as many losing seasons with the Redskins (3) as Joe Gibbs. Gibbs coached here 16 seasons; Shanahan is in year 4.

Cooley going after K.Shanahan's play calling & game management

Doc Walker going after K.Shanahan & the offensive staff for the game last night.

The Skins should be in evaluation & development mode for next season at 3-9.Makes no sense to expose Robert in the Option game going forward

HTTR24-7.com ‏@HTTR24_7
Think Robert is taking enough hits in the pocket that he doesn't need the 15 additonal hits in the option game.

HTTR24-7.com ‏@HTTR24_7
Use the next 4 games to work on developing him in the traditional offense. Reasons why that won't happen? Coach fighting for a job.

If this regime is still here my worry is they would screw this up.

Last night I realized that Polumbus couldn't block me. I'm old, fat, and slow. Put someone else in. They couldn't do any worse.

Why didn't we make an adjustment to Giants moving Tuck around? Simple...our coaches don't know how to make adjustments. I'm all for continuity, but in this case I don't see any improvement. If anything the team is getting worse each week. Heard in media booth when we were up 14 the talk was well it is early.

BB...only silver lining is guess my Sundays will be free for next 4 weeks.

I had the same thought. Coughlin moved Tuck around, and he started dominating. We did absolutely nothing about it...ridiculous.

hmmmm. wellllllll........yes...the offense looked woefully inept last night once the Gints adapted. nevertheless....this team will never, ever wn until the friggin defense is over-hauled. the line is aging and second rate, no game changers among the younger players. there is a general lack of speed and talent on that defense.

overall: you can' build a team hoping 3rd to 7th round picks will become studs. you get a bunch of Aldrick Robinsons. folks who hang around for 2-3 years who lack the talent to move a team from laughing stocks to competitive winners.

so, we sacrificed a lot to get our QB. that was a must. no regrets by me on that one. but the rest of the strategy was executed ineptly. IMO, this all points back to the FO and scouting/talent evaluation.

another head coach cashing a big paycheck from the Danny before going back to where he wanted to live all along. IMO, no one really wants to be here in the first place - they're robbing the bank legally as it were.

let's face it: we are simply undermanned. maybe 3-4 players are keepers any team would covet. all the rest? look at the scoreboard at the end of each game. our lines are below average, our secondary sucks, the linebacking corps doesn't do anything special, we don't have enough athletes to field decent STs, we don't have receivers who scare defenses, the center of the o-line is an exercise in sieve management, the RT is apparently more interested in exploring the depth/coverage of the QB's insurance policy - we are in the proverbial hurt locker. roster not worth a ****, coaching that is constantly overwhelmed, bad personnel strategy, disintegrating locker room. we're screwed!!!

we're looking at another 2-3 years to build a good team. will any fans care enough to hang out any longer?

Yeah, I will hang around. Been doing this for fifty years by late next summer.

seriously...how many "2-3 years to rebuild" have we heard?

and who's really left?

not many.

there's an entire generation of people that are not redskins fans because of the way this organization has been run.

i expect that to continue if things don't get better.

snyder appeared to be determined to destroy this entire organization and fanbase. his decisions this offseason are going to be extremely important.

i have no idea what the 'right' decision is, and in a weird/sick way I feel really sorry for snyder - after appearing to have changed his ways 3 1/2 years ago he may find himself at the most important decision of his ownership, with no clear answer as to what is right.

and if he's wrong it may be the proverbial nail. we'll see. maybe i'm just being really over dramatic.

Snyder? What is his part in all of this now? He has stopped bringing in hired mercs, he's hired a GM and someone who can turn the team around, and hes hands off.

He's the only one that can fire shanahan.
He's the one that will decide if Allen stays.

I'm assuming that, if he fires Shanahan, he'll pick the next coach.

He's still the decision maker for the important decisions. Whether he fires this staff and brings in a new one, and how he goes from there (will he go back into personnel decisions?) is going to matter in terms of the way people view the club. If he goes out and gets, say, spurrier 2.0...

if he fires shanahan he is "butting in again" and making it worse once again.

its a no win situation for him. he's sitting back and letting the people he hired run the show but still getting all the blame.

he isn't getting any blame.

i haven't seen one person blame snyder for why the team is the way it is under shanahan (except to say how much of a mess the organization was when shanahan got here)

I have heard, and read, many local media/talking heads insinuate that every bad decision shanny has made, might have really been snyder.

As if shanny would tolerate it. Since he has full control written into his contract. According to most of these same talking heads. People are itching to lay this on snyder. Which is one reason I support giving Shammy his 5th year.

This would not surprise me. I simply fail to believe that when Joe Gibbs was here the second time, that he and Bugel would not have invested more in the O-Line back then, seeings how the Hogs were a large reason he won so many Super Bowls. I always thought the danny was behind that. And again, it wouldn't surprise me here, although I doubt it's happening

Interesting.

Shanahan in many ways reminds me of Jack Pardee. He came in and made some changes but never seemed able to wring any consistency out of the team.

One year we started 6-1 only to go 8-8 and miss the playoffs.

After going 10-6 and just missing the division in 1979, the team came back and was 3-10 in 1980 before winning the last three while fans with bags over their heads booed the team.

At the end of the 1980 season Cooke asked Pardee what he thought the team needed to get better. In true veteran coach thinking he said Washington needed to trade it's first round pick and pick up veteran defenders who could help the team win more games in 1981.

Nothing for the future.

Beathard recommended firing Pardee and rebuilding what was the oldest roster in the NFL with younger players.

Think we would have won 3 Super Bowls if we kept Pardee?

Snyder's problem (still) is he tends to get close to certain players. I am sure he is now RG3's buddy, where before it was Portis and others. As the leader of the organization he needs to treat everyone fairly. He needs to back off in his relationship with certain players. As leader of an organization the Boss should be friendly towards everyone. You can't have favorites.

Gibbs gets too much credit for the Hogs imo. Bobby Beathard built the Hogs, mostly in the great 81 off-season when he also drafted Manley, Brown, Diddier and Grant.

Beathard was the guy who took a too old, mediocre team and built a superbowl champion. Not to take away from Gibbs' great coaching, but Beathard was a personel genius which is exactly what the Skins need now.

I agree with Bulldog. Shanny should not be building his own roster, just like Gibbs shouldn't have been in his second tenure. The Redskins need a first rate GM/Talent guy coupled with a strong coaching staff that focuses on the coaching.

This is the proven method of success in the NFL.

Yes it is. Conversely, the coach/team president model used by the Skins with Shanny and Gibbs 2 has been largely unsuccessful.

Looking at the recent Super Bowl champs from Baltimore to Green Bay to NY and NO.....all of these teams have strong GMs to go with strong coaches.
