Oh man, now you are talking Skinsfan1311. I was raised on liverwurst and I love it to this day. Needs nothing more than mustard and bread or a sub roll. The Deli across the street from me at UVa made a mean liverwurst sub sandwich I still dream about.

I still buy potted meat and deviled ham...goes great on crackers (Walmart's "Woven Wheats" are just fine and less expensive) with a thin slice of cheddar and a spot of Gulden's. (should go in the snack thread, cuz that's my deal in the afternoon).

Yesterday's lunch. Two live softshell crabs from Boarman's - cleaned, fried, then placed on a toasted Amoroso club roll with homegrown lettuce, Campari tomato slices and remoulade sauce.

A Cubano to use up that pulled pork from Sunday. Hard to find authentic Cuban bread in the DC area but I've found a fresh ciabatta loaf from Panera works nicely.

My brother lives in Dunwoody. How far away is the stadium roughly? Are you guys close?

I live in Macon. I will come up game day and take the Marta from the airport. My sister and BIL are coming too. But we could maybe meet early or certainly at the game. Hopefully be a great game.

We went to one of our favorite local haunts for lunch today...I had the Black N Bleu Burger (my usual, it's why I go there, lol) and he had a chicken club. Both of us had 3 drinks and they pour VERY heavy there...I was Absolut Bloody Marys, he was Tito's & soda.
He went to get a haircut, I went grocery shopping for dinner.
Neither one of us can drive now, so we're both stuck at our respective homes. No chances will be taken.
Moral of da story? Meeting at a cool bar for lunch isn't a good idea if you wanna get da evenin' on.

My wife’s favorite burger at our go to burger joint in Florida (Greaseburger in downtown WPB) is their black and bleu. On our last visit in April they had inexplicably axed it from the menu. 🖕

Lucky for them they make the only fresh to order homemade onion rings I have found within a reasonable distance from our home. Being that I am an onion ring snob (like I am a crab cake snob) we will continue to patronize the restaurant. I remain pissy to this day that Popeye’s took onion rings of their menu 15 years ago.

Made tacos last night. Not easy to do here with very limited proper ingredients. Let’s just say that there is no, no hispanic influences here.

They had live soft shell crabs again at Boarman's today - $8.99 each. Naturally I had to make a sandwich with tomato, lettuce, and tartar sauce on a toasted Amoroso Club roll. It was great! Forget about that frozen stuff. Live is the way to go!

I've got a Walmart grocery nearby (not the full deal, just food & basics) and they have these rolls. They're soft and sweet, and just barely toasted with cheese, (I used colby/jack) made fantastic Gortons beer battered fish filet sandwiches last night. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, I did Mambo sauce. (He went plain). Paired em with potato cake hash browns and Margaret Holmes lima beans.

So he went over on Thursday for lunch and had his wallet stolen.

I had asked him to watch my purse the day before when I visited the ladies' room, when I came out he was telling filming stories at another table, and my shit was there when I got back. But needless to say, he ain't in charge anymore.

Live is good, but don't overlook frozen, especially as the season winds down. They freeze very well and you'll be glad you did a few months down the road
