Finally! The Lunch Thread!

It's the opposite for me. I'm happy with a can of Campbell's chicken noodle soup for lunch or a banana but dinners are special for me. Maybe it's the only meal I eat with the wife that makes it special.

Lunch is a difficult subject for me. Basically I hate homemade lunches. I firmly believe there are so many grilled cheese, tuna or ham sandwiches you can eat in a lifetime before they lose their appeal. I have been in this spot for years. I can eat Hamburger Helper for dinner but I need to go out and get a good lunch. It's really weird.
Most of my lunches are leftover dinners...

And that is perfectly normal and how most people feel. My friend described the turkey sandwich he had for lunch every day as "fuel" but he eats well at dinner. My burden is I have a huge appetite. I'd laugh at what you call lunch. If I had a salad I'd be at the drive-thru at 3:00, even a "normal" homemade lunch of a sandwich, chips and a pickle leaves me hungry hours later.

Speaking of Turkey Sandwiches, there's a lot of blah turkey sandwiches out there.
But the crazy thing is, the pre-packaged ones in Walmart are levels above most others.
It sounds ridiculous. And it only has three ingredients - sub roll, cheese, turkey - but there's something outstanding about the taste, that I can't point my finger on.
