Dan Snyder - Fugitive?

With this front office and QB it isnt unreasonable to see a Lombardi in the next few years.

And it warms my heart to know that itll be Josh Harris receiving the trophy instead of that other guy.

Vodemort was competent. Evil. But competent. Therefore, Farquaad.
Voldemort couldn’t take over a High School.

Just saying.

I believe he left because of potential legal issues. $6B can grease a lot of skids on both sides of the pond

I wonder if this is why he left the country - to avoid prosecution. Where is Gerry? Tanya?

Not to be rude, but the have you been living under a rock phrase was what first came to my mind when I read this. Of course he fled. This was news two years ago.

Again sorry to be blunt.

Don’t worry I’m no genius. My predictions are are amongst the worst on this site. One reason I can’t gamble on football. I stink at it.

The issue is that nobody interviews him or finds information for extradition

I know some folks prefer to just move on from the past.

Me? I enjoy bad things happening to shitty ppl...classic schadenfreude. Love hearing that in spite of the life of luxury he's living that the success of this team is really pissing in Dan's cheerios.

I read the article. Wow - I didn't realize the Snyder's had *donated* their former home (listed at almost $30 million) to the American Cancer Society. Say what you will, but that's a pretty big act of philanthropy. I thought the core assertion of the article, that Snyder 'hates the Commanders success' was pretty weakly supported. Basically, someone who visited him recently said 'He ****ing hates it'. So the entire article is based on an anonymous 'friend' (not much of a friend though, right?) whose opinion is that Snyder hates seeing the Commanders succeed.

Maybe he does. I'm sure he's bitter. How could he not be? But I feel like if you are going to put that in a headline, you ought to have more than some gossip from an anonymous source. The biggest thing I gleaned from that article was Snyder trying desperately to get out of the sale in the waning hours. I don't think I had heard about those efforts to submarine the whole thing, and Joe Gibbs being the one to convince him to let it happen. That part doesn't surprise me as I think Gibbs is one of the few people Snyder ever remotely listened to.

Unfortunately, I am not willing to see that act as philanthropy - just my opinion, I can't be burned a million times and keep coming back for more. He has to do something without any obvious ulterior selfish motives available. There, he just finished a gigantic sale, he was having trouble selling the place, it was more trouble than it was worth, he wanted the 18.5 million tax-write off that cost him 0 time/effort and hastened the book being closed. So, I definitely don't see it as an act as philanthropy at all. When you give from large amounts of excess, it's good for the receiver but it isn't a big act of generosity. It's a castoff to you.

Yes, I agree - the only real nuggets were Gibbs' involvement and that he threw a fit at the 11th hour. Neither of those stories surprise me, although I didn't know them before. I am glad that Gibbs not burning the bridge did actually serve some useful purpose eventually.

Anyway - happy to move onto Philly at this point! Just wanted to chime in once here.

How do you get the motherfucker do to an interview or press conference? That is the question.

Yeah I'm in this camp. While I can understand why some may want to move on I have been searching for this since he moved to England. I did random searches of Daniel Snyder just to see if I could find out what he must be going through now. And this article, which I was about to post, ,was exactly what I was searching for.

Not only is he miserable that he was forced to sell the team and hates that it is now so successful to show just how bad this was for him the little shit went down kicking and screaming to the bitter end. He actually threatening to stop the sale because he was so upset at losing the team. According to this article it is "devastating" to him that he is no longer the owner of the Washington Commanders.

This is exactly what I was hoping to find. He had such an impact on my happiness I won't apologize for celebrating his misery.
