Confirmed Signings

my question is how he hurt himself......given that these are non-contact practices.

Yeah, non contact, but their are reports that Hankerson laid out someone on a running play today. Maybe there is light contact and he hit a really weak defensive back.

Awkward moment in Philly this morning when Nnamdi Asomugha suggested he be introduced "in front of the Super Bowl trophies."

Here we go again? Patriots DT Albert Haynesworth “not ready to practice.”

Albert Haynesworth’s trade to the Patriots is done, but he was — once again — not on the practice field. Why? Was it a relapse of last year’s conditioning test fiasco in Washington? Bill Belichick wouldn’t say, but… Well, we won’t speculate.

“He’s not quite ready to practice yet,” Belichick said.

Injury-related?

“When he’s ready, he’ll be out there,” he said, adding that it’s not a salary issue. And it’s not a physical that he failed, because the trade went through. Again, conditioning test?

“There are things that we still need to do with Albert for him to be able to get on the practice field,” Belichick said, not elaborating.

Probably discussing a trade back to Tennessee for a couple of 2nd round picks! They just don't want to damage the bargaining chip.

Interesting tweet from Ryan O'Halloran

"ryanohalloran Five quickees from morning practice (2-plus hours). 1. Shanahan said #Redskins will add another quarterback in "2-3 days."

Orton?? :)

They just signed QB Mark Verica from UVA...but that's probably not who he meant.

Malcolm Kelly says "it's put up or shut up" time, says he is 100% healthy, not even thinking about it.

No ****.

hope he does well and we finally get value from a Vinny pick other than Davis.

Haynesworth is a POS, Bellichick will find that out over time.

Unlike Corey Dillon and Randy Moss who were troublesome at times but wanted to win, Haynesworth doesn't keep himself in shape and I don't think cares the least about winning.

Players that looked good and had a solid practice include:

Malcolm Kelly
Brian Orakpo *
Jarvis Jenkins *
Trent Williams
Ryan Torain *
Brandon Banks
Fred Davis
Kory Lichtensteiger

* = Players that stood out this morning.

Those who struggled:
Selvish Capers
Willie Smith
James Davis

About John Beck: Very good mobility. Very good on short and medium routes. Struggling on long routes.

The Redskins have terminated the contract of Big Mike Williams.

Well, Willie Smith was signed three days ago as an undrafted free agent, if he DIDN'T strugge in his first few pro practices I would be surprised :)

Jarvis Jenkins is an interesting case. Most have Bowen and Carriker penciled in as the starters at DE but I am wondering how fast Jenkins will break into a rotation with Carriker and ultimately supplant him?

I see what he did there. :evilg:

To think his former Raiders have more Superbowl wins... than the Eagles. Should have stayed home if he wants to win a ring.

I thought Jenkins would be penciled in at NT?

At his height and weight he projects to DE in the 3-4. Perhaps he could be part of a rotation with Cofield inside for his first couple of seasons?

Ultimately, though I think Jenkins role will be at DE.
