Rocky McIntosh is defintely not returning according to team officials this morning. Ditto for Carlos Rogers.

We knew it, but things are official now.
 
Right tackle you are going to have to spend some dollars on, I am hoping the team can fill in at LG with a veteran on a cap friendly deal. This is a position we can draft a replacement for in 2012.

funny...I was thinking same thing last night abt RT!
 
The fulcrum on RT is Jammal Brown. If the Skins are convinced he's healed, they're going to have to make a strong effort to re-sign him. Man might be the best FA RT (heh) out there if he's back up to speed. Certainly they have a Plan B if Brown either is not recovered enough OR is asking too much $$, but my guess (hope) is that they think he is ready to go and are working on the numbers.
 
Plan B is Ryan Harris. If this situation continues to drag on, the 'Skins will scoop up Harris quickly. However, don't be surprised if we sign Harris anyway - even if Brown re-signs.
 
My understanding is that Jammal Brown wants to play LT, and wants to get paid as a LT. With Trent, and Big Mike due back, we are surely well set there for a couple of years.
 
Big Mike will not be back. His career is over - not officially, but it is done.

I'd like for the Redskins to hire Big Mike in a FO job that is befitting of his big heart and determination. I admire what he did and like Phil Daniels says - God opens doors that no man can close and God closes doors that no man can open.
 
Plan A should be Harris. He is younger, more athletic and suits the system better. Brown's injury problems (who knows if they will return?)SScare me a bit.

Keep hearing that the Skins had a monster offer on the table for Holmes, but he turned it down in order to stay with the Jets. Just doesn't feel right, with this new approach to FA the Skins seem to be taking...
