Was running here to post this. Wow! I thought the staff liked Jarmon - to me, this signals Cullen Jenkins is definitely coming to DC.

I guess this is probably a trade for two guys who would have eventually been cut by their respective teams.

DeSean Jackson is going to hold out. Gotta love it! Divide that team baby! Destroy and divide!

A prediction: They will come to regret trading Kolb. Trading DMc5 was one thing, but losing Kolb is another imho.

65 catches last year for 875 yards. I'll take it.

Gaffney is a good pick up imo. He brings a sixty catches a year resume to the table. Jarmon was going to be odd man out in this defense and is better for the 4-3. It's nice to turn a supplemental pick into a solid receiver. Gaffney also knows the system.

Also, this spells the end for Malcolm Kelly. That was never meant to be and you wish there was a way to put his heart into Devin Thomas' body.

The receiving corps is looking like Moss, Armstrong, Gaffney, Hankerson, Stallworth, Paul and the rest fighting it out for a place on the team. A few will end up on the PS.

Edited to add: Jarmon (according to stats from PFT) has played in sixteen games with 0.5 sacks. We got a steal in this trade and this FO continues to impress.

I dunno - I kinda liked Jarmon. Maybe the injury bug isn't really over for him... or we didn't think enough of him to risk it... that and the positional stuff.

y'know - I had an epiphany regarding our 3-4 status. Ask yourself, when did the 3-4 develop and become de rigueur in the NFL? Just about the time that Steroid abuse was at it's zenith. This D is built on one unmoveable mountain and nitroused beef at his flanks...

Now that atheletes are shying away from blatant use, and the formation is the norm - the laws of supply and demand are woefully not in our favor.

I reiterate my regret that we are running this scheme.

Franklin is still on the market. Also, they could be looking at Cofield to fill that position. His measureables are identical to Ratliffe in Dallas.
