Does anyone remember what was the "controversial" place that Peters invited Daniels and the other QB prospects to last year right before the draft?

It was like an indoor golf or lasertag thing, I think?

Got it. It was Top Golf.

They took the prospects to Top Golf. Reportedly, the Daniels’ camp was not happy with that. But his official reps quickly said that was not the case. I think the season proved that to be true as well.

I predict now DC is about to get their budget restored. The bill already passed the Senate,Trump has said he will sign it. Just needs to pass the House. Who is now in recess. So it’ll take a minute. But DC gonna get their budget restored by billion they were shorted.

Well that's gonna piss Jumbo off.

Agree. Chris Sam seemed to be a good dude and gave all he had as a player. Nothing but the best for him, his family and his career.

Sam had a really strong first half of the season. After that, I think several things happened. First, I think defenses figured Bienemy out and knew what Sam was good at. Neither adjusted to the defenses adjustment, but the bigger problem was that the coaching staff and most of the team flat out quit. They just threw the towel in on the season. You saw it in the sloppy tackling, the endless dropped balls, and the lack of effort. It was so bad that when Peters came aboard he tried to fire the entire team. I've never witnessed a turnover in one year like Adams did, but I think it might have been his smartest move. There were several moves where Peters let players go and signed inferior players. In every case, the inferior player produced as good or better.

I do think that Howell could succeed under the right circumstances. I think he could be a solid, Andy Dalton-level starter. He probably would never be a star, but he could become a middle of the league QB.

I just don’t know if he could anynore

Maybe. He’s got the physical tools. I worry about long term effects of getting beat up. He also just held the ball too long.

If he could stick in a stable place as a backup and learn an offense and figure out how to get rid of the ball in timing, maybe. But I’m concerned he would have to start over essentially and I’m not sure where that could happen. The best situation for him would be to land with one of the wonderkin teams (49ers, Rams, Dolphins, Vikings, Packers) where the offense is set, offensive coach and (in most cases) already a starter in place. That would give him a chance to develop in a proven system.

Yeah. Howell may be damaged goods, but you’re seconds point is the bigger problem. He probably needs a great situation with a great WB guru and those guys don’t need to roll the dice on a reclamation project
