He could probably draw a roughing the kicker on demand if he's wanted by running around and then kicking it when they tried to tackle him.

A shame he tore his pec - that’s really going to diminish his trade value - especially given those frequently reoccur.

I guess this means a first rounder plus Allen wasn’t enough to get Garrett. I’m guessing the Browns didn’t want him at all if this news is coming out. Otherwise they would keep this in their back pocket in case they fort enough of whatever else made that happen. Oh well.

Same thoughts, Boone. I don't know what his value will be but if I had to guess I'd say a 4th/5th for starters and possibly a 7th too. I'm guesstimating.

Trade value for Allen?

I doubt he's going to get anything in a trade. Isn't his contract something around 20M. Who is going to give up a draft pick to pay him that much?

I believe the $6m signing bonus cannot transfer via trade because it's already been paid out.

New team would likely be taking on the $15.5m part of the deal with the Roster / Workout bonus' outstanding.

The idea wouldn't be about 2025, simply because there's no more guaranteed base salary in the deal. A team would trade for him, with the expectation of signing him to an extension, and pumping some actual guaranteed money into the deal. Good for the team because they likely get a starting DT at a reduced rate. Good for Allen because he gets guaranteed money on the deal instead of being part of cut down and getting next to nothing.

I wonder how much insight we'll gain by who the coaches and scouts talk to?

Logan Paulsen said that every player that was selected in last year’s draft was interviewed at least once during either the Combine, the Senior Bowl, or on the players Pro Days.

Of the 30 Visits conducted at the facility only Jayden Daniels and Devontae Jean-Baptiste took part.

I like that degree of due diligence. I suppose it takes a degree of luck in a draft to always get your man or always have your man be available, but it feels right that every player you want to invest a draft pick in should undergo as much scrutiny on tape and in person as we can muster.

Also, that feels like a tweet so I'm off to paraphrase you on Bluesky.
