I was so pissed that game went to overtime after being in control all night I'm watching the replay of the OT goal now. They show the crowd as the players do the group hug and 3 people in Caps gear are already walking up the stairs headed for the exit. They must have gotten up from their seat and headed towards the aisle 2 seconds after the goal. What is the point of going to the trouble and expense of a playoff game if you can't even enjoy an overtime game winner?

I used to leave my seat with 2 minutes left in a basketball game if we were up 8 or whatever, but I would walk along the concourse to my exit and watch from there. This gave me all the head start I needed. But with an overtime hockey game you don't have the luxury of a time clock, we never know when it will end suddenly,

I get that it was a work/school night but if you can't take 10 seconds to enjoy such a moment you should have just stayed home and watched on TV.

Exactly, I think their defensive game was MUCH better today, and a lot of teams do win games with that style.

BP had 0 difference in G1 and G2, even though their positioning and calmness looked night-and-day better today, and they got the payoff. Man, with a 1-goal lead though... yeah it was tough. Still, defensively much more sound today, positioning was much improved.

You win G1 and G2 without Protas and Fehervary. Not getting Fehervary back, but maybe Protas comes back Friday. If that happens, it may go a bit better for the Caps. I sure hope so!

Good win tonight. I’m glad they didn’t hang back for the last half of the third like game 1. Montreal still had pressure, but the Caps also had chances and were able to keep Montreal from scoring. Now win game 3.

What a performance from our elite goaltender. We have a franchise QB and a franchise goalie, the 2 most important positions in sports. That was scary, I didn't think a 2-1 lead would hold up the entire 3rd period. A period we have dominated all season but we are struggling in the 3rd now. I just wanted one more goal but they were on their heels for much of that period.

Back to the goalies the Montreal goalie is huge, when we shoot there is no net to shoot at as this polar bear blocks the entire cage. This was why I was not onboard with Venececk and so many of the previous goal tenders. They were not nearly as big and that is a handicap.

Rough game yesterday. Montreal took it to them. The Caps need to come out and be the aggressor again like they were in game one. Montreal showed it was willing to go that route last night. Time to step it up again.

Yeah, the refs sucked for sure. A lot of bad calls and letting the Candeiens get away with stuff after the whistle. But the worst to me was the TVR interference. The Canadiens player stuck his leg out to trip TVR yet he gets called for interference. But Montreal still deserved to win last night. They played better.
