Love the ever-perpetuating "Ramsey would have been good if not for Washington" nonsense. He was garbage. I don't know if Campbell was ever going to be a "great" QB (he certainly put up some nice numbers in Cleveland with a legit offensive weapon in Gordon), but I'll agree he certainly never got a legit shot in DC.

I like the Roberts signing and I have hopes for Porter. The rest? Meh.

ramsey had potential actually, so did Campbell, a lot of good young qbs have been ruined by lack of protection and no good coaching as young players

Both Ramsey and Campbell had multiple seasons as the unquestioned starter to win the job for the long haul. Neither were ever consistently impressive, although JC was a better QB on his worst day than Ramsey was on average IMHO.

Baloney. Strange how as soon as you put a veteran in there who made good decisions the Redskins started winning. Brunell only years from retirement was twice the QB Ramsey was ever going to be. and he had the same protection and supporting cast.

Porter and Hatcher are solid pickups. Like I said I'd like to see the breakdown of Hatcher's deal, but straight up he's a good player.

Personally, I think it would be really cool if we got ourselves a decent safety and/or right tackle, but that's really about it. There's just too much to fix on our defense to address it all with free agency so I'm ok not overspending to build a team that way. Look to the draft. That's when we'll (some day) know if things are going to really turn around or not.

Talked to Ryan Clark's agent. Said not to read so much into tweets. Said there's 3-4 teams that remain possibility. Redskins on list. But I would not characterize it as overly optimistic or even pessimistic. Medium. But he seemed surprised I was asking about it.
