Around the NFL - Gameday Discussion thread

One thing I still cannot understand is how the Worthy catch was deemed a catch. Neither the receiver nor the DB maintained control of the ball as it hit the ground, so when it hit the ground it should've been incomplete, in any event. Secondly, on that 4th down QB sneak by Allen, it's clear that the linesman at the top of the screen(Bills sideline) had his forward progress marked for the first down; the one at the bottom of the screen (KC sideline) came running in to mark it short and overruled the other linesman during the officials' discussion. Spotting the ball remains a problem. No consistency on how it's done.

KC still seemed the hungrier team last night; better coaching, too, in terms of situational playcalling. I don't think the Bills go any further with McDermott. Been saying it for a few years now. They've changed coordinators multiple times, blaming Leslie, Shula, etc. At some point, McDermott will have to pay the piper

I’ve never seen this: KC ran a play, they negated the play to go back and review the previous play.
Did that happen? I didn't think that was possible? Was it in a 2-minute situation (booth)? Still didn't think that was even remotely allowed.

I think in the end they claimed the challenge flag was thrown before the play was run. I don’t think so.

Didn't they try to do that in one of our games but after talking about it decided that we already ran another play?

Looks like the suck known as Eric Bieniemy is being given another chance in the NFL as a positions coach. Boy did some people think highly of him as an OC

Bears hired former Chiefs OC Eric Bieniemy for their vacant RBs coach position.
Bieniemy joins Ben Johnson’s staff in Chicago amidst a complete retool of the coaching ranks. He coached for the UCLA Bruins in 2024 after a one-year stint as the offensive coordinator for the Commanders and a five-year stint with the Chiefs during the early portion of Patrick Mahomes’ career. The hiring appears to be a leap of faith by the Bears after Bieniemy was fired after just one season in each of his previous two positions across multiple levels, with Bieniemy now looking to reestablish a coaching presence in the NFL.

Is this the preferred place to talk about out of town games?.... presume for tomorrow night since we are already working the game here

I think if folks want to discuss a non-NFC East game it would be fine.

If there is a specific NFC East game (non-Washington) folks want to talk about, just start a thread in the NFC East forum.

I like this one.

Buttkiss rushing on the field and kicking a 59 yarder like its no big deal. It seems like everyones kickers are always better than ours.

Everyone said that Harbaugh wanted to run the ball a ton. I love that he came out pass happy. Always go opposite George.

It was tough seeing Xavier get his shoulder wrecked. Its why i dont want our brass to target 165 pound players.

Should be a difficult game on Thursday. The Packers look very good so far.

Cam Ward looking kinda like Caleb Williams getting sacked twice to lose his team an easy 3 points on a turnover.

I don’t understand. How the Ravens ever lose. They have Lamar and Henry and a good defence and are well coached. (Even though all Harbaughs are gigantic cocks.)
