All things Bourbon

It's not about levels it's about bourbon! Try a ton and develop your palate as to what you like and don't. Watch and read reviews they are helpful and over time you will find certain reviewers that match what you taste and you'll trust those more. Expensive isn't always good. I still say Jr is one of the best bourbons I've ever tasted at any price point.

If any of you guys ever make it out to a game come see me I always have a variety to drink!

I agree. It's your own palate. I got into scotch because my ex's best friend married a scotsman who was a rep for Glenmorangie. He knew a hell of a lot about scotch and was not a homer. His home "stash" was more amazing than any restaurant or bar I've ever seen. We talked a lot about various tastes/styles and he helped me hone my palate. After he learned what I liked and didn't like, he gave me great ideas for new scotches to try. So now I'm on to bourbons!

I may take you up on that!

Here's my fledgling lineup (although I'm not drinking today):

Eagle Rare 17 (2012)
William Larue Weller (2012)
Stagg Jr.
Garrison Brothers Texas Bourbon
Weller "Antique" 107
Maker's 46

EDIT: Oh, I have some Balvenie 12 year scotch as well.

My lineup includes more than bourbon due to guests.

For the ladies: beer and wine.

For the men:
Macallan 18 sherry oak cask
Elmer T. Lee single barrel
Stagg Jr.

My lady drinks bourbon too. No wine for her!

If its got bourbon in it it's nothing to be ashamed of!!!! :)

Agreed.

The only person's opinion that matters, is your own.

You like what you like.

Ok first one down and it was awesome. The Willett taste like cinnamon red hots. The ladies even liked it straight!

Ok second one tried. The Parker's is to woody or me. Not a fan.

Alright, the Four Roses 125th is a very good bourbon. Compares to the flavor profile go George T Stagg. By he way SFWTC.om has the Willett 4year oldie in stock fr 40 something a bottle I just ordered 4 more, it was tasty.

A Stagg Jr bites the dust!!! Damn this is good shit!!!

Your lady is a keeper! Mine was game to try, but she didn't care for any of them. She stuck with wine, but couldn't finish her second glass so I had to finish beers, bourbons, and her wine.....

It doesn't matter if you see the glasses as half empty or half full, so long as the liquid inside the glass is bourbon.
