If you would be so kind…how did you learn about the existence of BGO and what made you pull the trigger to join and to get involved in the discussions?

I saw someone mention it on Reddit. I had known about it previously though--since a lot of people who founded this site were part of ES 20 years ago.

Was surfing for sites looking for old ES screen names, and suddenly, there is was. I had/have also been in the process of relocating and had not been online nearly as often as in the past, or I would have stumbled upon it earlier I suppose.

I knew reddit was where es guys would go to figure out what was happening when es was down. Otherwise I dont use reddit unless it comes up on a google search. I dont understand why its so popular.
Once it was apparent ES wasnt coming back I think i saw Boone's link in one of the reddit posts. First I had ever heard of the place.
Forums seemed like the same forums used by ES. I dont know if its just familiar or just a better forum program, but I prefer it

I googled "What happened to Extremeskins" that led to Reddit. I Saw Boon's link and came here, saw familiar names and registered.

It was my first interaction with Reddit and it's...odd. Or, to me it's weird, but I'm an old fart.

I was looking for a place to put the Extremeskins History OP that I had copied from ES last fall and was on my hard drive. So I ended up on another site and put it there. But then I ran into Tarhog/Boone on the site, and in PMs he suggested I take a look at BGO. :D

Yeah, I can see that. My bad. It was supposed to be funny, but I’m outta practice.

I was active on ES for about 10 years starting back in the Gibbs II days, and although I think the forum had declined over the years, I continued to lurk there until it went offline.

I was checking various forums and social media sites looking for a new place, and one of them (maybe Extreme Commanders?) mentioned there were ES refugees here. When I came here, I saw not only familiar names from ES’s final days but also many of my favorites from the good old days, and I knew this was the right place.

The Reddit thread for me too. Was watching it to see if ES came back like many but thought I'd check BGO out. Recognised Om from my early ES days, and then Tarhog, and thought why not. Once I realised Blade, Bulldog and Die Hard were here too it was like coming home.

Sounds like we need a bigger presence on Reddit but I deleted my account. Got tired of taking a beating every time I mentioned BGO

I googled "Where can I get into time consuming but ultimately fruitless internet arguments about Washington quarterbacks?" and it sent me here.

Nah, it was Reddit.
My question is "How's Lilith?"
