A Question for the New(ish) Members

Sounds like we need a bigger presence on Reddit but I deleted my account. Got tired of taking a beating every time I mentioned BGO
Reddit is good for reading. Posting there invites the 20-yr-old mob who clearly know everything to tell you just how wrong you are, about everything.

I got here via Reddit as well. Partially searching for what happened to ES, because I hadn’t been there to lurk in quite awhile and couldn’t find it.

I am not a fan of the format at Reddit or the quality of the average poster. I guess I am a dinosaur in that I like a more robust and easier to navigate format as well as quality posters - so here I am.

Way I see it ... the kinds of posters who first find their way here, and then stick, tend to be the kinds of posters we were targeting from jump. Smart, funny, burgundy and gold obsessed, articulate, etc. We're still far more interested in quality members that quantity, so it seems to be a good fit all around.

The influx of former ES members has been, to me, rejuvenating. I'm reminded of what drew me to the interwebs for Redskins talk in the first place.

Yeah, I can see that. My bad. It was supposed to be funny, but I’m outta practice.
Oh, no, yours was funny. I was also trying to be funny. And clearly failed.

Just joined today. I have been a part of Alabama Forums for a while but never really bothered with commanders forums. Decided to look around and find one because I've never been this hyped about an off-season before. Googled and found this
Native Gator here, welcome to the crew!

Those 20 year olds are 40 now and never changed. Reddit has been around for a long time. It's just a dumpster format though.

I would like to add i was not a fan of reddit at all but I was lost in a dark room looking for a door and that was the only place google seemed to direct you to when looking for what happened to e.s.

I could never have stuck around there.

I joined in 2010 not long after the site was formed. I lurked for a bit in those early years, but just found myself going back to Extremeskins because it’s what I knew. I had been a member there for about 6 years before the team bought the site. I knew about this place through Boone who I remembered as Tarhog there.

Displaced ESer who really never posted much in-season (wasn't a big Gameday thread guy). But the offseason, that was my favorite time to frequent the board (a lot of sharp folks with an eye for free agency and the draft posted a LOT of good content), so as we find ourselves on the precipice, here I am. I notice some familiar names!

Member at ES since 2004/05; after the shutdown I used the Google machine. Had no idea this great board existed!

Welcome to the site guys

Welcome guys
