2nd-Annual BGO Ballers Fantasy Football League

I'll buy that...and remember it next year. Fool me once and all that.

The thing that pisses me off the most is that I drafted Torain. When I needed points and didn't have a clear idea when he'd be back, he got cut.

On a side note, some people are completely ridiculous in their trade offers. If any of you has tried to get a trade done, you know what I mean. And just so I don't have to keep saying the same thing to everyone that offers - if you try to offer me a below average or second string RB for Cam Newton AND an additional player, the answer is hell no. I mean that in the nicest way :D I reject absurdly stupid proposals.

The worst offer I got was a very solid second string RB in exchange for Antonio Gates, Cam Newton and Early Doucet. Really? Is there anyone alive stupid enough to even consider that deal? Why am I going to give up the potential of 50+ points per week for a guy who hasn't even gotten 50 all season? :doh1:

The third highest scoring FF QB in the league is worth a starting RB, no matter how you slice it.

Disagree. There's no certainty Cam Newton can keep up anything like the pace he's setting. He held the single game NFL yards record for a few hours as a rookie. I think it's a massive stretch to believe his fantasy contributions are going to stay in that kind of stratosphere.

That's what people have said, but you also have to consider I could get a guy that gets a season ending injury while cam continues to light it up. Nothing is a certainty. There's no guarantee Aaron Rodgers will stay at the top of the leaderboard either.

Extreme....RBs are extremely valuable. Especially because you need 2 or 3 of them(depending on your flex) every single week. And there is always the potential for injury. So you really want 3 or 4 of them.

And no one else in the league wants to see Cam on someone's starting roster, and you with an additional RB. :p So there is no rush. It is going to be difficult to get a premium, or maybe even fair value.

I still have Brandon Jacobs out there, if you are interested. And if Bradshaw ever gets injured, Jacobs immediately becomes a star. In the meantime, he will get you 10 pts a week from your running game--more than Cam is giving you while he rides the bench.

And as the weather gets colder as winter approaches, and teams run in the NE, he may have a few 20 pt games.

I'd probably take him. My team sucks, kind of

But not nearly as bad as my nfl.com teams. I have been plagued with injuries, and almost every week, a benched player who normally does nothing, comes away with a ton of points- its the good ole, "I should have started ..."

It's cool, me and Elephant worked out a deal and made out. And not in a ghey way. Not that there's anything wrong with that ;)

He got Newton, I got Turner. We both gained a lot from the trade, and it will be responsible for plenty of wins for both of us down the road.

Newton has got value, just not as much as you may feel on a team that might need the RBs you're looking for more than a backup QB who would be great for 1-2 weeks. The evaluations help to provide a little levity. Just like the draft pick chart, you can't lopside the evaluation without taking a risk. Before the weekend I thought we could work something out... every weekend is full of dynamic changes though.

If you don't like a player on your team just wait a week!

Haha! I got the better end of the deal because Turner will go on IR by the 6th game of the season. LOL! Oh yeah, and I have Jacquizz Green, Turner's backup.

I will admit I don't know much about Turner. You seem to be pretty certain of his demise, I take it he's injury prone?

He's a great RB but I wish I had taken Brady when I had the chance. I keep hearing about the point makers being RB's in this league and Turner has gotten me some points, but it seems like the point makers come from all positions. You've got Rodgers so you are set at QB, but I would rather have Cam than Matt Ryan, especially since I have Steve Smith and Carolina will more than likely be playing from behind much of the time since their defense sucks giving Cam more opportunities to score points.

The only concern with Turner is that he's a bruiser and has been one for a while now, there is injury concern. Who knows. I have lost 2 in a row so I am making a change. I hope I went in the right direction. I do wish I hadn't let go of Marshawn Lynch.

Turner got injured the year after they had him carry the ball like 445 times or something obscene like that, but normally he is fairly durable. He will miss a game here and there, but pretty much everyone will.

LMAO... I tried to trade Marshawn Lynch for Cam Newton...LMAO

Turner is on the decline (2.7, 1.8 ypc in his last two games), but the offense in Atlanta is such that he'll get plenty of scoring opportunities (2 TDs against Seattle). He just isn't the kind of guy they can lean on anymore (on pace for only 270 carries), which is fine for fantasy purposes. Especially since he'll get red zone carries in most all games the Falcons play.

I think me and Ax have the matchup of the season this week. Not in excitement, but for being as even as you can get.

- Quasimofos are 1-3
- Ax Grinders are 1-3
- Quasimofos projected to score 88.1
- Ax Grinders projected to score 88.2

It can't get any more level than this.

Why did I start Stevan Ridley over BenJarvus Green-Ellis today? I hate fantasy football.

The fantasy football gods are arbitrary and capricious.

Dallas Clark, you are dead to me.

Boone, congrats on a big week. Why does everyone seem to have huge weeks against me? I feel like I am on the receving end of "FF prison love."

That's usually my story. I've only had one week where I didn't score well over 100 points, but seems like I'm always getting everyone on their best week. Oh well - what are you gonna do, right?

Looks like you're going to take it - I don't expect Forte to do much against the Lions and if he does, it will be on screen passes and you'll get Cutler points.

Canadian Hog, giant-killer! ;)
