2nd-Annual BGO Ballers Fantasy Football League

Extreme,

I have Mark Ingram, BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Steven Ridley available at RB. Throw a trade offer my way if one of them helps you out at the Running Back position. I know you mentioned you needed a starter...I realize all three of these guys split carries and are exactly 20 + carries per game guys. They may not fit your criteria.

I'd love to have Newton - I've started Roethlisberger who not only is having a crap season, but who left the game today wearing a boot and may be out. Problem is, I lost Jamaal Charles and just picked up James Starks. My other starter is Maurice Jones-Drew who I just can't give up. If you were interested in Starks, I'd do that trade.

I'm talking to two guys right now who both seem interested - one more than the other, and they both have players I like. I have proposed deals to both, it's just a matter of who is willing to pull the trigger first.

You know it's a weird day when you are looking at your roster and realize that Jason Campbell would have been a significant upgrade over Joe Flacco as your starter.

In fantasy only.

In reality, Rex Grossman would occupy the space in your statement where you put Joe Flacco.

Tough match this week, Boone. Its not over for you yet - if Indy comes out and lights up Tampa, I could end up with negative points. But, I'm not sure Curtis Painter is quite ready for that yet...

I'm being beat by .5 pts witha starting non committee rb left to play. I don't like my chances! LOL

I just changed the waiver-period from 2 days to 1 day, ya bunch of whiners. ;)

Says the guy with the number one pick who's in first place.

Good grief! Can a newb catch a break here? I just looked at the league standings and realized that counting this next weekend my first 5 opponents of the season are a combined 11-5 and I will have faced everyone at the top of the board except for Lanky. Seriously?

Anybody know how the waivers work? Just curious, since I claimed Torain 3 minutes after the game was over and didn't get him.

And yes, I will admit that I'm pissed that I've been desperate for a RB all season, and he ended up getting picked up by the guy with the deepest RB depth by far already :(

Yeah, right...

I've had nearly 500 pts scored against me in 4 games. I lost a top 3-4 RB the first game of the season in a collision with a cheerleader. And Roethlisberger is having a terrible season. And that's just the beginning of the luck I've had.

I cheated. :)

Its set to "continual rolling list," with the starting positions determined by reverse draft order. So after the draft, the person with the last pick had first priority, and I had last priority. As soon as someone made a waiver* claim, he drops to the bottom of the list. My last waiver claim was on September 10th, to pick up Dan Carpenter (which in hindsight was dumb to waste a waiver-claim on a kicker, but oh well). Since then, you have made 6 waiver claims, which drops you to the bottom of the list every time you do. Hope that explanation helps!

*Free Agent acquisitions do not affect the waiver order.

Yeah, fantasy football is a lot of luck. I have noticed that you are not active on the waiver-wire, which is another important part of FF.

That sucks. On that note, what do you need with Torain anyway you bastard?

To block other people from getting him, of course! FF is all about being a dick sometimes. :)
Funny. I knew Torain would be gone before my turn came around. I was surprised he made it as far as he did. I was next in line after Lanky. As soon as I saw that he claimed him, I thought, "You dick!"
(In a purely respectfully competitive kind of way, of course):)
