Alright, here's what I got:
QB
Tom Brady (NE - QB)
--The top fantasy point guy of 2010....went QB instead of RB first. Thought about Brees, but Brady has so many fewer INT's that I went with him. If he can stay upright, it'll be just fine.
WR
Lee Evans (Bal - WR)
Drafting 13th out of 14 teams meant that I had HUGE spans without picks. As such, I could just sit and watch all the top tier WR's get snatched up. I went with Evans cause it seems to me that he's gonna see the bulk of the balls with Boldin getting double teamed on the other side. He could have a huge year.
WR
Julio Jones (Atl - WR)
Typically, I'd never touch a rookie WR in a fantasy league. BUT, from all I've heard, Atlanta is tailoring their entire offense around this guy. With a depleted list to pick from, I took a flier here. Could burn me, but what the hell.
RB
Peyton Hillis (Cle - RB)
Other than QB, RB is the fantasy point machine position. Went strong here with Hillis.
RB
Ahmad Bradshaw (NYG - RB)
REALLY wanted Steven Jackson...but he went just before my pick. A little afraid of the two headed monster in NY with Bradshaw and Jacobs, but figure Bradshaw will get the bulk of the carries. Hoping we stuff him in game one (from a Redskins standpoint), but you never know, do you?
TE
Tony Gonzalez (Atl - TE)
Not sure what to make of the whole Cooley/Davis thing.....and, other than a couple guys out there, even a slightly aging Gonzalez is gonna get some balls. He had 70+ catches in 2010....he'll be just fine in their offense.
W/R/T
Mike Tolbert (SD - RB)
Lacking RB's in the draft.....had to reach for a third guy. Went with Tolbert hoping he'll see some numbers.
BN
Kevin Walter (Hou - WR)
Really tried to consider the bye week and it's implications in fantasy. I constantly passed on potentially better players to make sure that I had solid guys on the bench who could step in of my own roster in bye weeks. This avoids filling the voids with bums those weeks. Walter should be another 50+ guy in the Houston offense....even as the 3rd WR. Any scores will be bonus. Last year he had 5 TD's. Not shabby.
BN
Colt McCoy (Cle - QB)
When Brady sits, Colt will hopefully be there for me.
BN
Nate Burleson (Det - WR)
Another 50+ catch guy to step up when needed.
BN
Eddie Royal (Den - WR)
Yet another 50+ catch guy...and, he may be returning punts from what I hear.
BN
Jacoby Jones (Hou - WR)
Not sure what I have here other than another WR with the name J. Jones..that's two of em on one team. Maybe a 50+ guy in Houston....maybe not. Could be returning punts. In any case, all my bench WR's are available to fill in during bye weeks.
BN
Benjamin Watson (Cle - TE)
Bye fill in only. Decent guy, has a few TD's. Not much, but not much else out there.
K
Graham Gano (Was - K)
I know people may laugh at this one, but I'm thinking that if we really do have our share of redzone anemia, he could actually be a great pickup. Frankly, kickers are pretty easy to interchange in fantasy. Worth a shot, I figure.
DEF
Washington (Was - DEF)
Another laugher at the time...but in a league where points allowed isn't gonna hurt you that badly and all the other defensive categories could actually help you (such as fumbles, INT's, sacks....), this may be - if nothing else - an opportunistic defense that excels at those ancillary skills. We certainly demonstrated it during preseason.....and last year as well. We generated a load more turnovers....sadly, we also gave up yards and points. I guess we'll see what happens. Taking a shot here.
