That's an excuse, not a reason. Apparently, you were doing a good job because you were packed. But let me do the same the following morning, and I can't do that if I'm catching up from all the mixes and stuff you didn't make for me (like I did for you yesterday). Nevermind the cleanup. Jeez moly.

Same applies here. They have to set each other up for success, as a team, or it doesn't work.

Tampa Bay played without its top four WRs and top RB last week and still found a way to improve to 5-1.

Great depth in that they successfully identified some young guys with some talent and athleticism to backfill the roster. Not in terms of pedigree.

I think there is a lot working against Jayden right now. He is obviously not 100% healthy, his best receivers are missing time, defenses are playing us smarter, we have shuffled the offensive line, and we have been playing from behind all season.

It’s impressive he has played as well as he has. Through five games, he has scored 9 touchdowns and only thrown one pick, and he is averaging about 200 yards passing and 40 yards rushing. Those are solid numbers, close to last year on a per game basis. Maybe I am being too critical of the kid.

Really Jayden is the least of our problems, but this is a team sport, and he is not blameless in our poor start. Three fumbles in two weeks, one which basically cost us the game, and his completion percentage has dropped significantly. Just as his receivers have to own their drops, he has to own the missed throws and turnovers. I believe he will.
 
A full knee brace is very hindering. I know.
And JD5 is in a whoooooooooooooole lot better shape than I've ever been.

Just sayin'. But defense has to step up to put him and the offense in the best shape, and they haven't done that. Lattimore is very disappointing. No looks, obvious PIs...

Yeah I feel like Jayden has played pretty well all things considered. Having said that, I will place the Chicago loss 100% on him being lazy on that hand off towards the end of the game. Could still see this team finishing 10-7 or 9-8 and that mistake could cost them a shot at the playoffs. But with Armstrong now out for the season, I’m not sure our defense can stop anyone lol.
 
Over time we have heard of how our receivers haven't been that talented, not able to separate, need to develop relationships and trust with QBs. There have also been questions about our OL but they have been much better.

Has there been any Dallas game breakdowns (like from Logan) discussing whether our receivers were covered well through the game or if they were separating?

I know...our 3 top receivers were out in Dallas game yet players that have barely been on the roster looked decent. I mean freaking Robbie Anderson-Chosen-DIddy led the team in receptions. And Deebo had an immediate relationship and trust with JD.

What about our speedy Lane? Did they just use Lane to run deep and hope to take defenders with him but not throw deep to or was he unable to desperate?

What about Luke? He has now been with both QB's for going on two years and was considered our next WR up. In the past when people have broken down games they often showed that Luke was open but not receiving pass attempts, did that happen in the Dallas game? Because he has zero receptions.

I thought Luke and Lane would be leaned on, instead they didn't get many looks from either QB's. I'd like to know especially with Luke, if they are being developed and used properly or is he a JAG receiver?
 
it’ll be interesting to see if we pursue Ray Ray McCloud. He was released by the Falcons after being sent home. He signed with them last year to be reunited with Ike Hilliard but apparently became a malcontent when he got fired.

AP knows him from SF and maybe Deebo, his teammate in SF, can keep him in check here. On the other hand, DQ is tight with Raheem and I’m sure Raheem’s opinion will be negative.

Ray Ray is a legitimate #3 receiver who can win against man

LM was targeted twice and from what I recall, was wide open on one with lots of green in front of him and JD5 threw a poor ball that totally missed LM.

Giants signed WR Ray-Ray McCloud, formerly of the Falcons.
McCloud has been signed to the Giants’ practice squad. The move reunites McCloud with Giants head coach Brian Daboll. The two spent McCloud’s 2018 rookie season with the Bills, where Daboll served as the offensive coordinator. McCloud barely played that year, catching 5-of-6 targets for 36 yards, but the 29-year-old wide receiver has become a capable returner and can fill in as a rotational receiver as needed. Injuries have thinned out the Giants’ perimeter wide receiver corps, so a Week 8 call-up from the practice squad is in the cards for McCloud. He is not on the FLEX radar in 12-team re-draft leagues, though.

I agree given the circumstances Jayden has played pretty well. But we all knew going into the season that we can't win with Jayden playing "pretty well". We actually need him to play as he did last season to have a chance given this roster and that hasn't happened. And now there are legit injury questions.
