How did this guy get drafted?

He doesn’t have the accuracy or arm to get on the field in the NFL.

Ok, so it looks like the Jets are going to win despite a great offensive effort from New England :D

We got help from the Steelers winning and New Orleans clobbering Atlanta.

We need to lose and have either Packers or Raiders win to get the pick.
 
Are we done?

My gut feeling is the Raiders under Pierce are going to gut the Broncos with all the drama and Stidham starting.
 
I am pretty sure the Saints win seals it for us if Dallas wins.
 
Dallas better win or McCarthy will not be on the plane back to Big D :LOL:

Somehow we flipped with the Bears. When we traded Sweat I believe Chicago was slated to pick 2nd in the NFL draft which made their number 2 almost a number one. We were projected to pick somewhere around seven. As the season ends, we have the number 2 pick overall, but the Bears second rounder has fallen all the way to tenth in the round.
 
We have got to draft an impact TE in April. In the last draft, I screamed we should either draft Dalton Kincaid or Sam Laporta. Both have had amazing rookie seasons and impacted their teams playoff aspirations for Miami and Detroit today - we should've drafted one of them. We need to clean out our TE room and rebuild it, starting with a difference making player in the draft.
 
Shen thinks TE is a high value position in the league. Hopefully the new GM will embrace analytics unlike the dinosaurs in Rivera and before him Allen’s front offices.
 
I really like Drake Maye. He gets knocked for accuracy concerns. Just watch him play. Big athletic dude. Looks like he processes quick. You will see the Herbert comp pretty quick. The way he moves in the pocket and the sling shot arm. I would not be surprised if Chicago takes him. I would put it at 20-30 percent if I had to put a number on it.

Either way we are getting a great prospect whichever way Chicago goes. After the way Fields played today I believe he will be moved and Chicago will take one of the 2 qbs.

I just don't want Caleb Williams. Barely 6'1 and 210, he could have durability issues in the NFL a la Tua.

Let's get guys that have real NFL measurables and not count on college rank or production alone.

Emmanuel Forbes at 167 pounds is an example of a guy you DON'T take #1.

There aren't many pro bowl corners I can remember in the past 20 years that weighed 167.

Christian Gonzalez had NFL size and better NFL projection but we passed on him and let him go to New England a pick later.
 
So, we pick 2, 36(4), 40(8) and 67(3). Not too shabby if we get the right Front Office.
 
Yep, this draft and free agent class could form the core of the future team here that is capable of contending.

Look at the Texans, in 2 years Houston was able to put together a team that went from 2-14 to 10-7 and a division title.

In those two drafts Houston found it's franchise quarterback, defensive pass rush leader, and both starting corners as well as starting WR Nico Collins in Round 3.
 
So, Chase Young finishes the year with 7.5 sacks, matching his rookie year totals - only 2.5 sacks opposite Nick Bosa in 9 games with San Francisco.

Two years of 7.5 sacks, a 9 game start to 2021 with 1.5 sacks, zero in 2022 due to injury.

That's a total of 16.5 sacks in 4 years.
