Jordan Magee, who is recovering from a meniscus repair after the Jets game, will be on the final roster today or after missing four games if placed on IR.
This year’s new rule allow teams to place two players on IR prior to the finalization of the 53 man roster without them taking up an initial roster spot. So if the team thinks that Magee will not be able to return to play prior to week four, they now have the latitude to keep a healthy player for the beginning of the season.
Quinn initially expressed hope that Magee will only miss about 4 weeks, or two regular season games. Therefore his rehab progression will affect the team’s decision.
