2024 Roster Updates

Yep, it’s like younger receivers going to Philly where they already have matching set of pro bowlers.

In the end Bates or Badgley is better than what we have now so that’s one position battle to watch

Hartman is a sneaky pick to make the roster... I think this even further pushes the chances he's on the final 53

I also don’t mind Hartman developing in the UFL. I wonder if an arrangement could be made?

Sam Hartman would have to be cut and then clear waivers just to be put on the practice squad, no? Since there was more than 1 team interested in signing him as a UDFA that seems unlikely.

Him going to the UFL to develop is a pipe dream.

Yupp, this is why I think even more-so that he's going to be on the final 53.

Yeah, I'm really excited to see what Newton can do... but I hope they don't rush him back. Btw, with all of the staff turnover, I'd be interested in knowing what they have done on the team physician front as that has been an area of controversy in the past?

Depending on how he looks in preseason.

My guy does not have an NFL arm. He’s going to have to be really solid in timing and rhythm or else he’s going to really struggle.

Sorry to hear that about Obada. Was rooting for him to find his role. He still can, but nine months is a long time to not be able to recover from an injury. Worrisome.

This is not a position i assumed we would be bringing in someone for a workout...

Wasn’t it a horrific tibia and fibula fracture which required surgery? I thought given the injury it was kindof assumed he wouldn’t be ready for training camp. I could be wrong, but I thought this was a year long expected recovery.

Must have been. I don't remember.

Isn't there an MLS player we can bring in to kick for Ramiz Ahmed? This guy is not even camp fodder, he's a level below that.

I don't know much about Ahmed - other than that he literally has like 1-2 NFL kicks in live action. I don't know how in the hell we can go into the regular season trusting a player with his experience level. I'm sort of stunned we haven't seen a signing for a reliable proven guy. Maybe they figure there's no harm in waiting and see who the absolute best guy available heading into the season. I hope that's what they are thinking.

This has to be the worst time of the year to find a competent or better kicker with the vast majority currently on a roster somewhere in the league. It’s like hunting for truffles at this point.

The team does have a big advantage down the road though since they are #2 in the waiver-wire order when roster cuts are made and the Panthers resigned theirs for 2 years during the offseason.
