It won't happen but yes. it's a SB window, its not time to experiment with a work in progress running a major unit

No sense firing the whole staff, but we just got embarassed by a bad football team. It’s time to lower your expectations. Jayden and Terry can’t fix the defense, which couldn’t even force a punt against a team that got shut out by the worst team in football last week.
When the schedule came out I had us as a 9 or 10 win team, I’m definitely taking the under on that now. No pitchforks, no need to fire anybody, just accept the reality that last year was a mirage.

Quinn in his presser made a point to mention right off they are starting slow on the road and that has to change.

Id like to help settle the debate as to coaching versus talent.
Great coaching and great talent= great defense.

ATLANTA — The Atlanta Falcons looked rudderless on offense to start the season. Coming into Week 4, they were second-to-last in the NFL in scoring. The last time they took the field, they put forth a putrid showing, held scoreless by the far-from-impressive Carolina Panthers.
That same offense absolutely torched the Washington Commanders in a 34-27 Falcons win on Sunday. Defensive coordinator Joe Whitt Jr.’s group wasn’t at full strength, but it remains an alarming performance.
The Falcons racked up 435 yards and averaged 6.8 yards per play. Quarterback Michael Penix Jr. carved up the Commanders’ secondary for chunk gain after chunk gain. He averaged 11.4 yards per attempt and threw two touchdown passes. Running back Bijan Robinson terrorized the Commanders both on the ground and through the air, gaining 181 total yards and scoring one touchdown. Wide receiver Drake London had eight catches for 110 yards and one touchdown.

I agree with you. I wasn't advocating that he should be given a 3-4 year leash; I was just stating what I think will be necessary to infuse the roster with talent.
I never really agree with trading draft picks for veterans unless the team is thought to be "one player away" from a Super Bowl.
Fir me, the Lattimore deal was the worst of all by far. It was clear before the deal was made that he'd never be worthy of the draft capital required to obtain him.
With thst being said, all the draft picks in the world mean nothing unless you draft the right players (see Rivera, Ron).

I dont want to see Quinn the HC calling the D, I think there is too much for him to worry about. I'd like to see Witt replaced though.

I will not at all complain about the offense and the GM AP is doing one hell of a job with what was in the roster when he arrived. However I can blame him for getting it in his head that we were super bowl contenders and making short term moves to improve the team . The issue is that QUINN and Witt are doing an awful job.
Last year with a rookie QB that was on fire a ton of luck and a coach that took risks they won more games than they should have, This year they are not getting the same luck and the coach is coaching scared. Its not at all the same team

We'd probably be better off if quinn was the defensive coordinator and lynn was the head coach.

So any "exotic" motion, or stacking their receivers on one side, and our defense goes blank with confusion. That's on either Whitt, or the players.
Commanders’ defensive blueprint is out
Offenses learned from the Green Bay Packers on how to dice up the Commanders’ defense, and now every team is going to do it. Teams are using pre-snap motion to force defensive backs and linebackers to run across the field and fight through coverage to get into coverage, and it’s leaving players wide open.We saw it over and over today, and the worst was when linebacker Bobby Wagner had to run out in space to cover Robinson on a wheel route, and he never stood a chance.
Teams are going to continue to exploit the Commanders’ man coverage with pre-snap motion and mesh routes, and they’ve shown that even the corner can’t keep up with it. So they go into zone coverage, and it’s the same results. Corners and linebackers aren’t adjusting to routes and going towards receivers and tight ends in their zones, and it’s leaving wide-open windows.
Tbh unless the drafts and signings become irredeemably bad (or continue to be extremely average) I’d give AP 5-6 years at least. If he drafts and builds the roster well enough (meaning we need to see a home run hit or two in the next couple years along with the usual starter level guys) and Daniels is a stud but it just doesn’t work out, he gets one more coaching hire after Quinn. I wouldn’t be in a hurry to move on from AP after 3-4 years unless the roster is looking…like it is now
