If the word "red" isn't in front of skins, what's the sense in trying to incorporate red ? I find Redwolves as lame as Commanders. Just Wolves alone would be fine if ya gonna go with wolves. I guess you can tweak the song a bit to work.... Hail to the Redwolves.... Hail victory.... Wolves on a foot path, lets piss on a tree:bolt:
 
The Red Wolves range originally included the Middle Atlantic region and so is appropriate for a team in the area just like the Florida Panthers, etc.
 
I don’t care what the new name is, as long as it is one favored by the fans and not picked by a coach or some temp front office regime.

I personally think Redwolves is dumb but I would support it because a lot of fans like it.
 
So, what's a great nickname if we eliminate 'Redskins' and any other native american references?

At some point folks have to move on.

And I went to Redskins games since the 1970's with my Dad so my identification with the team name goes back pretty far.

Warriors
Sentinels
Warthogs
All are infinitely better than Commanders and I’m sure there are many more

Completely correct, and I do understand that point. Of course we are combining two words to suit our need so we wouldn't be the only team with a two word name.
 
Two schools in VA just went back to the names of their HS that was changed due to woke folk.

Not saying it can happen, but....

That's OK, I like standing out :LOL:

The NFL is the one sport where there aren't any two name nicknames currently.

Baseball has the White Sox, Red Sox, etc. and the NHL has the Maple Leafs and Black Hawks.

Wasn't the Seahawks originally going to be Sea Hawks in terms of the names that were floated out there at the time back in 1976?
 
The black uniforms are easily the best designed of the Commanders uniforms - the problem is they have no ties to the Redskins tradition.
 
I personally think that we need a name that suits the city and the number one thing dc is known for is Corruption........so Washington Corruption is my fav name :>)

if nothing else, it's a further testament that this regime is not trying to eliminate history.

The mural added during the announcement of the retirement of 28 was Darrell Green with the Redskins logo being very clearly displayed. Next to it is another mural on a different wall of Sean Taylor with the logo also very visible.

I don't think by any means this means Redskins is coming back, but it does mean that the people within the organization are not forgetting our past.
