Good Morning!

Happy hour starts in 5 minutes
Rainy, cool, and cloudy here in N.C. Doing some site stuff, generally lazing. I don't mind days like this sometimes. And it's good for my recently-planted vegetable garden.

Hope everyone is having a great weekend!
 
Just took the dogs and the kids to the K-9 Karnival to play with a thousand other dogs. They had a blast, I was miserable from the heat and just getting over being sick. I was even more pissed off that we went to a concession stand for lunch and found out why they didn't post prices. For 2 gyros, 2 fries and 4 lemonades the bastards wanted $45. We promptly left and took the kids for happy meals and spent 1/3 of what we would have for less food from the concession stand.

On the plus side, the rain cleared out early enough for us to go, and the kids and dogs loved it, so that's all that matters.

Also, just as Boone said, my garden in also in full swing now, finally getting some good weather after a cold start to the month. I expanded the garden this year after watching vegetable prices at the grocery store. There's not a thing I need that I'm not growing :D

After several days of rain (nearly a week), we will have sunny and warm today - only a slight risk of afternoon rain.

Hope ya'll have a great weekend. Enjoy the hockey matches. Enjoy the basketball games. Enjoy your favorite baseball team. Enjoy the horse race. Get out and grill your favorite meals.

I'm still recovering from a pot-luck dinner we had in my apartment building.

Waaay too much delicious home cooked food.

Today is the first day in several weeks where I didn't wake up feeling dead from fatigue. I don't know what's been causing it, but it's been getting me since early April.

However, today I feel great. I don't know why, and I don't really care. It's good to feel great again.

That sentence sums up a lot of my outlook. As most here have probably noticed I analyze everything, but in that case I make an exception-when I feel good I feel good, no analysis, no calculation-I just go with it! :)

I love DC public transportation - Houston's doesn't exist (unless you live and work near downtown, then you can use it).
