Really? I don't care.
Make plays, win games and stay healthy is what I care about.
Is it just some cornerback? I honestly don’t know, but I assume he must be pretty good if they were willing to make this concession to get him there.IDK, the more I digest it…I get it.
I feel like most schools would hold onto the Heisman # for more than a few years, before handing it over to some cornerback.
I already forgive and forget. Yes it’s a bad look, but it’s really not that big a deal. I’d rather have a good quarterback getting bad advice than a bad quarterback getting good advice. It’s a little embarrassing, but if he plays well, then fans will forgive and forget pretty quick, we’ve certainly seen much worse than this from many NFL players.

Apologize for what? That he hurt some college fans' feelings now that they can't buy Jayden LSU gear, or see his poster on a wall?Jayden will be the one on the apology tour on this one. Outside of a few Skins fans, no one is defending him on this issue. It was just so incredibly short sighted. Mom thought Jayden was untouchable and mom thought wrong. I’m sure it’ll all sort itself out and he will get his number retired eventually. But very bold to burn the bridge of an established legacy already.
lol bro, ok. I’ve been Jayden’s biggest champion, but he just burned the bridge (which I believe he can fix) with his only lasting legacy. He tears his acl or ends up another RG3 , God forbid.. he has nothing to fall back on. Take your burgundy and gold glasses off. It’s a terrible look. He needs to punt his mom to the curb. The only folks defending him are his legal team and Ryan Clark who is an absolute clown. You want mama Jayden involved in the negotiations when it comes to re up Jayden? I don’t. He needs to grow up and hire a real agent. The whole LSU team was rocking 5 jerseys at practice yesterday. He looks like a clown in all of this.
Do I think this story will impact his play? Absolutely not. But his mom is walking drama and needs to be kicked to the curb asap. Jayden is that dude and can be our franchise QB and be the elite of the elite, but he needs to hire a real agent.
I’m not sure this is about money. I pay a lot of attention to the details in what people say in their public statements - and the word disrespect has been thrown in with the timing where it feels like the main thing here.I wonder if there's more money involved also. Giving that number to another player, creates the NIL deal for that other player to financially benefit. Jayden can no longer claim the financial gain of that number association. I would imagine he still got a cut of jersey sales / number related revenue that pointed back to the #5 because they were still using it with his NIL on billboards / gameday programs / school ads. Now that money goes to the new kid wearing the number, because it's no longer Jayden's. Possible he not only feels disrespected, but he's also not happy that they're going to keep advertising him, while taking a chunk out of the NIL he's entitled to? Of course, all of this is my own speculation that he's still getting a cut of the #5 money... I admit I have absolutely zero idea about how that NIL stuff actually works, and what happens after that 180 day period of usage.. I'm assuming he's still getting some financial compensation but he might not be?

Did Daniels not play but 1 possession? After last years rust to start the season I would have thought he'd be getting more pre-season in.
Two years. We had two years of slow starts, but in our playoff season, we didn't start against divisional teams. Much more expensive Ls to swallow to start the season this year.He played three whole plays, and that'll be his entire preseason.
Quinn better be right about this approach. We get thrown into the meat grinder immediately when the season starts against some really good teams.
