Official Game Thread - Week 13 - SNF - Broncos @ Commanders

Nice to see the players still have the want-to for Quinn. That’s important with the season we’ve had. Also nice to see that Whitt was so OBVIOUSLY the problem. D is still low on talent and high on injuries, still giving up plenty, but it’s just not anywhere near as bad even against a pretty good team (though one who doesn’t have great QB play)

I dont trust Mariota in big moments especially overtime. Please prove me wrong

What the actual **** are they doing kicking instead of receiving?
Not sure. DQ thinking he has some kind of strategy. I assume due to the idea that both sides get a chance. The only other part is, one side is more slippery and FG kicker told them that. Those are the only things I can figure.

I might would have taken the ball strictly because I think that Denver D might be tired right now

I thought the same. It’s nice knowing what you “need” after the other team gets the first possession, arguably, but I prefer aggression and not having the mindset that a FG is “fine” if they don’t score. Take the ball against their D who just was on the field imo

You get a possession regardless now, I don’t agree with it but they clearly prefer to know what they “need” from the offense after this drive. You can’t lose by giving up a TD right away anymore

At least if they score a TD you know you’re in 4 down territory all drive when you get the ball. Changes the play calling and keeps defense off balance. Forced aggression is not something I ever thought this team would need after our historic 4th down ballsiness last year, but here we are. Now we’ll have to be aggressive to even have a chance.

Kliff will need to dig deep in his bag for this one, assuming Mariota doesn’t choke it away (I will not assume that, an INT is likely)

Teams drive too easily on us. Middle of the field is like some kind of Bermuda Triangle for our D. Everybody exploits it. That Denver drive in OT was a case in point. That was way too easy (and FAST).

My prediction they will get to 4th and 1 and Kliff will call a 50 yard bomb that misses

I must be deaf and blind, I never heard or saw them say we get a possession after anyway, and don't remember the announcement for it either. I don't understand this sport anymore

Caleb Downs could really help this D
