Our defense doesn't even try to stop the run

I have lost track of the number of third and longs that DEN has converted by throwing to wide open receivers. Sickening. And then we have to hear another 5 minutes of how dazzling and brilliant of a QB Nix is. Let Daniels play against a defense this porous and easily-exploitable and see what kind of stats he puts up. Problem is, the other 31 franchises would never go into a season with such obvious gaps on the defensive side of the ball.

Silly post. We can root for losses as fans for higher draft picks, that’s fine. They’re never gonna do that as a team on purpose, before December especially. Mariota lets us evaluate the rest of the roster btw, which we sorely need. Poor self-evaluation is something we’ve suffered from and this staff needs to improve at it. Hartman and Josh Johnson are so bad that you’ll never know what someone like Burks could be, if anything. You’re still looking to dig future contributors out of this mess, right?

Most of all I just want you to stop whining. If you don’t want to watch the game because it sucks, don’t watch the game. But your posts in here are brutal, and that’s coming from someone who also wants the team to keep losing at this point in the season. Your posts are just poisonous tonight.

Ertz has had as rough a season this year as he had a surprisingly good season last year.
 
Tough sequence, refs missed tripping but reversed a call to back us up, Mariota made the throw on 3rd and 21 but Ertz couldn’t hold on to it. Don’t know how many more chances we will get.

They can't damage their narrative of "Nix is the best QB ever" by throwing a flag there. Come on, what do you expect?
 
I loved Ertz for what he did for us last season, but I hope that after this game, they'll finally give another TE a shot on high pressure downs. I'm sure they won't, but I wish that this would be the wakeup call that they need to find someone for life after Ertz.

It isn't about Nix. The NFL is never going to rectify a penalty mistake by review. They played through a joke of a season allowing challenges and failing every single one of them, then they went back to not even pretending.
