Random NFC East Thoughts

I think one thing that argues going after a stud WR in the draft is that there doesn't seem to be a big NFL learning curve at that position. We see rookie WRs able to make immediate impact. With most major college football programs now running pro-style offenses, we are seeing WRs come in and make an immediate impact.

I think we will draft a youngster to fill out this room.

Hard not to like Nabers

I think skinsinparadise was high on Skateboo. I wanted to draft him just to hear Bram scream SKATEBOO!!!! over and over.

Dude definitely is a load and like a spark plug.

Yeah SIP deserves credit, he definitely was on the Skateboo bandwagon.

Skateboo should be their starting RB moving forward.

It is also time for Russ to sit and throw Dart in. Hopefully Daboll keeps Russ in for a while

I've lived in GA for 36 years, known bunches of folks who went to GA Southern...only 3 that I know have graduated and Koo was one of the 3.

That says a lot.
He was money for years, but is losing it now. Weird, it's not like he was ever injured.

Once someone gets the "yips" its almost a career killer. Seems kickers get it more in football than other positions. And yes thats a baseball reference for football.

I've always associated 'the yips' with golf primarily. I saw a guy a couple years ago who was a pretty good golfer - except when he stood over a put and he literally would have an anxiety attack and hit putts out of control over and over. I have never seen anything like that.

Skattebo with three touchdowns against the Eagles. Dart looked good too.

Best not to read much into these Thursday games, but the Giants look improved, and the Eagles look beatable.

PHI's vibe and body language on offense are horrible right now. Hurts looked disgusted and detached all night and there was no urgency at all, even when they had a remote chance to make a game of it.
Their defense is in real trouble as well. At least 3 key players in the secondary were banged up to some degree in the game (Mitchell, DeJean, Blankenship) . The defensive front was as porous as SpongeBob without "Deathproof" Carter.

NYG did look good and it was the energy of their rookies on offense that set the tone. Daboll tends to get cute with his playcalling and he's going to get Dart broken in half eventually. Going 5 wide on first down from midfield was ridiculous and Dart predictably got jacked up. Next NYG possession, Dart was back in the game and Genius Daboll called at least 1 designed QB run up the middle.
Burns was unreal all night on D.
Flott's pick was a thing of beauty; his hands are remarkable. Hurts threw a bad ball but Flott really did well to secure it.

Seeing Philly struggle gives me that warm fuzzy feeling. I'm hoping AJ Brown starts whining like a premadonna and further undermines them.

I get what you are saying about Dabol getting cute with play calling. If it continues, will get Dart Hurt. It is my biggest worry with Kliffs play calling for JD, he is when forced to run or when he sees a big opportunity then on a lot of called plays. He is the main cog for this team and needs to remain healthy...and slide

I hate that right now it appears the Giants found their future QB1

i feel like teams should start having a guy on the edge on the rush push just go full speed and clean out the RB/tush pusher on that play. I think that would be more effective and also make the Eagles decide if they want to get Barkley clocked each time.

Skateboo was great to watch, but I can't shake the feeling that his career is going to burn both very bright and very short even by RB standards.

It seems the change at OC in Philly is not a positive one.

I am here for it.

Dart is fun to watch. Full of energy and you can see the whole team feeding off it. And then Skattebo adds to it.

But Dart runs with reckless abandon the way RG3 used to. I worry about Daniels but rarely do I see him lower his shoulder and drive into a tackler when out-of-bounds is an option. That said, it sure does look like the Giants have found their guy.
