Random NFC East Thoughts

Looking out the window, there's a Skins fan parked on one side of my truck and a Girls fan parked on the other.

Oh, the misery.

Btw, is there any other way to watch on Xmas other than Netflix? That's just nuts that the powers that be didn't make it a national broadcast. :cuss:

I hate that right now it appears the Giants found their future QB1

It's so early. Not saying Dart can't be 'it', I really have no idea. I just know we've seen this movie many times where a rookie comes in to replace a struggling starter and immediately looks like Joe Montana. We've even seen full seasons of it here in DC in 2012.

You can't draw any long-term conclusions from it. Here's to hoping Dart is a flash in the pan and comes down to Earth quickly (except when they are playing Dallas and Philly of course).

It seems the change at OC in Philly is not a positive one.

I am here for it.
I actually never really put 1 + 1 = 2 together on that one. Yeah, Kellen Moore was the OC, and now he's the HC in New Orleans.

Huh. And that's 3 in 3 years, right?

2022: Shane Steichen, left to become the Colts HC. (Steichen was the OC for 2021 also...)
2023: Brian Johnson, he was not invited back and now he's here as the passing game coordinator
2024: Kellen Moore, left to become the Saints HC

Man, for that group of prickly personalities, that's a lot of change.

Eagles EDGE Za’Darius Smith retired from the NFL after 11 seasons.
This one comes as a bit of a surprise after Smith signed a one-year contract with the Eagles shortly before Week 1, and played in the team’s Week 6 loss to the Giants on Thursday night. The former fourth-round pick who first entered the league with the Ravens in 2015 walks away from the game with 70.5 career sacks on his resumé to go with 87 TFLs and 10 forced fumbles. Smith’s most productive seasons came with the Packers, who he signed a four-year contract with during the 2019 offseason. He earned back-to-back Pro Bowl nods during his first two years in Green Bay, racking up 26 sacks over that span and also received Second-Team All-Pro honors in 2020. Smith’s decision to walk away leaves an already banged up Eagles defense another man short. They will likely look to bring on another veteran pass rusher in the coming days to make up for his absence.

Skatteboo with a nasty ankle injury. Hope it’s not a career ender.

Since I am still burned about last year's NFCCG, upon reading about questionable calls in the Eagles favor, I have one question: who were today's officials???
Some of these calls sound very familiar. I can't believe the NFL has a new favorite above the Giants, but I know at least one crew seems to love them. I don't generally call BS on officials but at least from the words (maybe pro NYG media bias?)... and remembering some of the ridiculous calls in the NFCCG... I do wonder.

How do I find out who officiated? I just wonder if it is the same crew from last year's Championship game.

SkinsNumberOne I, or rather ChatGPT can help with that!

Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles — NFC Championship, Jan 26 2025

New York Giants vs. Philadelphia Eagles — Oct 26 2025 (Week 8)

Here's the prompt I used:
Full officiating crew for the Washington Commanders vs. Philadelphia Eagles NFC Championship Game 2025 (include referee, umpire, down judge, line judge, field judge, side judge, back judge, and replay official) AND full officiating crew for the Philadelphia Eagles vs. New York Giants game on October 26, 2025 (same details).

Dart has been in concussion protocol 4 times this season, one being in the pre-season. Deboll should be shot, but all he was worried about was saving his job. Dart came out of the blue tent, and walked down the tunnel, with Deboll's job in tow.

I hadn't heard of Dart having that many dings.

After the Bills crappy offensive game against Miami, wonder if Daboll could could go back to Buffalo

Apparently, he's been checked 4 times, but cleared to play 3 of them. The report I saw wasn't quite accurate. It's still a red flag for me to be honest.
