What's for Dinner?

There is a gene involved in how folks experience the taste of cilantro. I love it. But some have a genetic difference that makes cilantro taste like soap. One of nature's little oddities. You either like it or it's awful.
I have the genetic superiority that makes cilantro taste like soap...

I bought some serious ribeyes at my local butcher shop. Giving them the 'purple steak' treatment in the fridge as we speak #IYKYK

Steaks over a traditional charcoal fire. Baked potatoes to go with. Gonna be really good.

Don’t over cook. Only way to mess up a great tuna steak and I speak from experience.

Oh, he knows I'm a mid-rare gal and we've done these before...perfect then. I think I posted the pics.

He knows grilling, chili cook-offs, all dat. The firepit is awesome, we just sit out there with music, then he heats up the thing over it. Makes grill marks but cooks slower than the Weber. Better for fish.

Sounds pretty erotic to me. You go mid-rare girl, lol…

Sounds awesome!

The firepit was great. Dinner was awesome.

I think I will do Chicken Tortilla Soup for dinner tonight. I found a very good Pioneer Woman recipe a few years ago.

Tbone's were on sale at Giant. Gonna grill them on the firepit tonight. My pit came with a cooking grate but I've never used it so hopefully it won't be too messy.

My dog's always ready to try anything new.

What cigar is that? My favorite is Arturo Fuente Don Carlos number two. That is pretty much all I smoke

That's a keen eye. I've got a Fuente but not a Don Carlos. It is the entry Fuente.

Fuentes are a favorite of mine. Especially the Don's and Hemminways.

I was only smoking Cubans for a few years until prices exploded in the Asian market recently. I bought them from a guy in Hong Kong who shipped them from Austria.

I used to get Montecristos and Romeo Juliets by the box for $300-400. Now they are $1500 a box. F that.

Don Carlos number two are around $350 to $400 a box. It's a very very good smoke. Just FYI

Had some leftovers, enjoying them now. Warmed the tuna in the toaster oven slowly, rice and green beans on the side.

Pho, delivered 🤣

I making a mean pho. Just saying.
