Not hamstringing 2027/2028 does not equal having to make a trade for meager return when we aren't trying to clear cap space right now. He's way more valuable to us on the control we already have, no new deal needed, than what he's worth to another team in a trade.
 
I'd make him play out his current contract instead of caving to unreasonable demands by Baker. He'll have something to prove for a lucrative contract next year. I doubt anyone with brains offers him anything above 30m. He's just not that wideout.

I don't disagree with this line of thinking. It's also not what you said before about shipping him.
 
This could bring a lot of clarity, similar age and production.

Terry looking for J. Chase money perhaps. Lol, top of the league money. I am wating for the comps (I kid) now of maybe Terry is as good as Chase or will never know because Terry never played with Burrow? :)
 
According to Schefter Terry wants significantly more. So id guess 37-40 million range? Schefter is rarely wrong.

He also said they arent close to a deal. Keim said the same.

If this is so, Terry has even less leverage because if he plays out his contract and is franchised next year, he’d make less than 30 a year let alone approach 40.

I could be wrong, but I have heard that dc's do game plan against him. I mean who else are they going to gameplan for OZ? BRob?
 
Looks like a missed some money leaks.

If they are true, I can see why there's been so little movement.
 
Point of note: If Terry's PR gambit is his Eastern Motors press conference, and hamming it up with autographs during a hold-in, the team's PR gambit will be through Schefter. This is the game.

I feel like there are folks who don't know that there's literally no chance that he won't be on the field for us this year, and probably next year, basically no matter what. Unless someone offers us something crazy. He's not sitting out, he's not getting traded.
