I like McLaurin, but not enough to hamstring our team's finances heading into 2027/2028. And an unselfish McLaurin shouldn't want that either. I think this offense can rock and roll with the talent on hand, minus McLaurin, if necessary.
Not hamstringing 2027/2028 does not equal having to make a trade for meager return when we aren't trying to clear cap space right now. He's way more valuable to us on the control we already have, no new deal needed, than what he's worth to another team in a trade.
