Because there's always inflation, I can see 34 or 35m/year. Salaries almost never go down. Besides, I'd take Terry over Metcalf.I think this will get sorted relatively soon. Metcalf is a perfect comparison point, as he and Terry have played the same amount of years, same amount of games, and have nearly identical statistics. Metcalf though, is more than two years younger than Terry.
DK just signed for 4 years at a $33M per year. My guess is that Terry would slot in at around 3 years, $32M, with a club option on a fourth year. If Terry, and his camp, are asking for decidedly more than that, they are overplaying their hand…the numbers wouldn’t make sense, and the FO can’t redefine their payment structure for one player, who, while very good, is not a generational talent, or even multi-year all pro.
