Regarding OUR draft, I’m anxious to see how Magee does this year.
What’s crazy is that they may have simultaneously prevented our own Super Bowl appearance, as well.
We should all probably hate the Giants’ dumb asses in addition to just laughing at them for this. They created the exact sort of juggernaut that we could lose against while giving the Eagles exactly what they needed to cover for Hurts’ faults and not just control games, but break them open with the ground game.

All major pro sports leagues have a draft, which gives incoming players little if any power to resist the sorting-hat exercise they're supposed to regard as "an honor and a privilege."
Florio sucks so much that I can’t even describe it. This is his second article I’ve read since the draft complaining about how unfair the NFL draft is to the players. That they should be able to choose where they can go and play.
It’s like he’s not even a football fan. The draft is what makes the league work. And every pro sports league has a draft. Because they have to. Would football be better if the top prospects all went to the same 8-10 teams every year?
He’s a lawyer by trade (and a poor fiction writer at heart) who is bitter he had to find minor fame and fortune as a sports news aggregator. Not even truly a reporter, an aggregator. It’s the only way he broke through. He’d love what you describe to happen just so he could watch the legal ramifications domino their way down, it’s his “niche” so he feels he must lean into it as much as possible. The technical legal angles on league issues are his only real areas of arguable expertise so he has to endlessly talk about this stuff, otherwise he’s completely unqualified and just another Dov Kleiman or MLFootball or whatever. Useless aggregators who bring no talent or voice to their coverage, just stealing others’ breaking news.

I just don’t think you could like NFL football at all to feel that way about the draft. Or organized professional sports in general.
He’s the type of guy that would be on the DC council voting against the stadium, no matter what the deal was, out of some misinformed self righteous principal.
Ok. I think I finally got those Florio frustrations out of my system. Glad there is a place for these rants.
Regarding our 2025 draft, I can’t wait to see Conerly. I think he’s immediately going to be good against speed rushers, like Abdul Carter. I’m honestly a little scared to see him against real power rushers like Bosa, or god forbid, Jared Verse. We are going to need to send help his direction against players like that. At least until he hopefully adds some muscle/power in the offseason.

Well, if you read the article, Beane knew the allegations were there too. HIs research indicated that it wasn't a concern, that the character was high and the allegations were unfounded.
I guess he is going to see how good his research was now. This lawsuit doesn't mean he was wrong, unless they included something in the equation that there would definitely be no lawsuit.

These cases are tricky.
My feeling is if the player has been on the team and his character is well known by example then you stick by him.
But when it’s an outsider coming in draft or a recent free agent pickup, etc I think the safe move is to avoid the distraction and move on.

Just found out 30 of 32 second rounders have not signed (including Amos). Is he our last holdout, and has anyone heard anything about this funky 2nd rounder situation league wide?
It has to do with wanting guarantees in their contracts like the Browns and Texans gave out to the only two signed 2nd rounders.

He won't be the last.
Harris is one of 30 second-round rookies who haven't yet signed contracts.
The only two who have signed are the first pick of the second round, Browns linebacker Carson Schwesinger, and the second pick of the second round, Texans receiver Jayden Higgins. Both were given fully guaranteed deals by their teams.
The rest of the selections are likely seeking close to full guarantees that aren't the standard offers for second-round picks.
