The 2025 Draft Thread

I disagree. And apparently so do a ton of NFL Gm's.

I’m not sure if this is true. I think NFL GM’s just assume that there usually is going to be a shared carry situation, and when it’s not so, that’s the exception.

He’s a Jahmyr Gibbs.

Also, looks like sip beat me to this sentiment.

Not sure what’s going to happen in the first, but would really like a trade down to try and secure a third or late 2nd … targeting T. Rutledge.

Would like something like this.

1 - M. Starks
2 - A. Thomas
3 - T. Rutledge

My reasoning is improve the defense, which is an absolute priority after last season.

Yeah i was listening to Keim on a segment just explain it some more. So Henderson isn't a third down back. You can say he's a featured back where he can play some on first down. But not a dude who is likely going to carry the ball 20 plus times. So a rotational back but likely the 1A of the rotation.

sorry I didn’t finish.

Defense.

O line.

Do not like any of the DE after Carter of course.

Do not value WR, would like to see Luke with a year under his belt.

Nonetheless, should be a fun draft!!!

Is there a site that has a list of players who were team captains for their teams?

I feel like you'd have a pretty good hit rate just doing a venn diagram of "team captains" and "had a meeting with the team."

Golden is my top choice, with Hairston a close second.

CB is a bad hammy away from being critical again, but it won't matter as much if we add a WR with 4.29 speed and great hands.

Our pass game was only ranked 17 last year.

Draft day is upon us! This used to be the closest thing to winning we would get. Now we have real football people in charge. Really looking forward to seeing what they do. I will say I bet $100 the primary broadcast does NOT go to commercial as our pick is being made. In past years you could count on it no matter where we picked except for #2.

Not good at predicting players. But I don't think they trade out of #29. I think the QBs go early meaning no trading partners and there will be someone who dropped that they really like.

The funny part is, I really, really want us to have a Jahmyr Gibbs. Saying that’s who he is or that’s the role he could fulfill only makes me want him more.

It’s not that hard to find a sledge hammer or a guy who can get 3-5 yards a pop. Heck, off the street running backs can often do that.

Pauline’s mock had us take Barron, too. Ive talked him up some recently, Ii would love it. The dude is a baller

That's my guess, too. It depends on who jumps first. If NYG and Cleveland want to wait and Sanders drops, Pitt probably comes up to jump NO. Gonna be interesting for sure.

Isn't Barron basically a pure slot corner? Feels like we have a 5 car pile up there already

So would you pass on Campbell if he fell that far?
Absolutely taking Jihaad if he's there. Absolutely a stud, and Bobby won't be here forever.

That being said I buy the Tampa Bay rumors for him, just makes too much sense.
