Kicking my ass
I had the worst sore throat since I had strep 40 years ago. When I swallowed I had pain out to the ears, that was interesting. I was sick for almost 2 weeks, still have the cough. Wife went to the doc sooner after I gave it to her and she's way ahead of where I was.

I ended up doing a video appointment and am on Paxlovid and steroids so hopefully that will help. Today was pretty awful.

Thanks! Today has been rough but hopefully it gets better from here - appreciate it

Thanks my friends

The crazy storm with all the tornadoes is finally going away from my area. It wasn't as bad as the last couple storms that we've seen here lately. I guess the worst of it passed to the west and up north there might have been a tornado near Knoxville.

I still hear some rain but the wind is reducing compared to an hour ago.

Yeah, I went through it. Not nearly as bad as I thought it would be, I left my date early, dammit. :poop:

An old friend who we had fallen out of touch with bought a house down the road so we picked up the friendship. Friday they got a new puppy, an English Cream Golden Retreiver. I wanted to give the little girl a few days to get comfortable, today is the day we meet this new puppy and I'm very excited.

I can't bring Nikki yet, I'm afraid she will get too excited and hurt the little puppy. But starting in 2 months she will now have a new playmate.

This may be too nerdy for most of the board, but the Capitol Jewish Museum is hosting an exhibition on the Jewish influence on comic books. Some of it I know (Superman, Captain America, all the early Marvel characters, etc.), but what has me stoked is they seemingly have displayed the Captain America punching out Hitler book, Fantastic Four #1, Action Comics #1, and other truly iconic things. I'm also excited to learn what I don't know (which is a lot), but getting to see these will make my inner 11-year old pretty happy. I hope Bang and other comic book fans get a chance to see it.
