A - VERY interesting. Those are some hard decisions. I am excited for some youth on this line to join with Newton. D - Zaccheus is pretty much what I thought. If Noah Brown is healthy, he is the preferred target above OZ, and Deebo replacing Dyami puts another target of preference clearly above OZ (can't say that about Dyami). For his own sake, I can understand his thinking.

If a stud D end is not available I can very easily see them taking a RB round one, if again, one of the highly rated ones is available. Im pretty sure Dallas will be looking hard at RB with their first pick also.
 
This is similar to the barkley situation last year but on a lesser scale.
We needed a running back so signing him and keeping him from a division rival would have been a two pronged benefit.

We could definitely use the services of kupp and keeping him from Dallas would be nice, it'd be worth a little bit of an overpay.

I thought Dallas would too...but they signed Javonte Williams and it seems like Miles Sanders just got signed by them too. so I'm not sure anymore. it seems like they are looking for reasons not to draft a runningback. if it's offense, i'm thinking they take a receiver instead now, if the one they like is there.
 
Miles Sanders has been MIA for almost 2 years.

I wouldn’t add Kupp. He’s hit that point in his career at 30 where he’s often injured and wants to get paid on what he did in 2021 and 2022 not what he can do in 2025.

if it’s O. Hampton, then definitely. I’d also take TE Loveland over whatever defensive players fall. At this time next year, we won’t have a single playmaker under the age of 30 if we don’t inject some youth now. I know… Defense, it’s against the grain I guess but I’d like to build an unstoppable unit around Jayden first and then build up the defense. Sorta like Detroit.

If Hampton and Loveland do not fall they should trade down, pick up another pick, and go for one of the second tier RBs that everybody is saying are very good.

His production ‘injured’ has been better than any WR we have had not named McLaurin.
 
No surprise Tunsil Likes to get paid lol. I mean, family first and all that. I would be fine with what AP gave up for even a 2 year rental at his level of play; as several have pointed out it’s like having an extra lineman as to blocking assignments. Hopefully we will get him extended after this year. I do wonder though what happens if they don’t though; is his personality such that he might hold out for the second year if his pay is too far below the going rate in 2026?
 
If the player is a core performer you sign him the year before his contract expires.

You can go through the machinations of tagging guys and drawing out the inevitable but as with Tee Higgins that may be a distraction and detract from team chemistry.

Yah I get that’s the plan. Hope it works but still takes agreement on what he’s worth and what we can afford. My point is if they don’t agree after this year then what?


I guess I got too gunshy after the way our previous owner handled things. I’ll get over it, just takes time.

With the latest news Im with you. Good news is if we are looking for a RB in the draft it opens up a chance of a higher rated back falling to us.

Barkley chose Philly. We had no chance of landing him. If he wasnt staying in NY he was going to Philly.

I know but most fans had no interest and I was coming out of my skin wanting us to make a run at him.

I'm not anywhere near as high on kupp but I have the same feelings that I'd much rather see him here than in Dallas.
