The 2025 Free Agency Thread

Weeks and weeks of opinions, suggestions, and analysis in this thread and in the media. So many different players discussed. But I don’t remember a single person saying let’s go get Javon Kinlaw. Hopefully, AP has some inside information that nobody else is privy to.

Perine gets yet another contract lol... guy just keeps going and going.
Typecast as a FB because of his tremendous girth... compounded by Gruden having him do simple dives the first time he got spot start duty. He ran through wide open holes in college and no one seemed to know what kind of role is best for him in the NFL. It was a hands back of course.

I saw he had hands as a rookie in preseason and the rest is history. Dude's been to the bowl more than once.

30 Catches in the regular season which was his career high... granted he had 14 catches in the two playoff games. Jags are paying him a lot of money for a very Meh career to this point. at 10M that is over $300k per catch. But then all these contracts seem high like every year.

Lawrence, Ward, Holland would be my choice I think. Would love Sweat though.
Yeah Ward is my first pick right now. I like Holland a lot and Lawrence seems like a great fit even though older than I'd like. Murphy, Sweat Huf wouldn't be the worst thing lol

Slayton is another I still really like.

and could they look at Greenlaw on a semi prove it type 2 o r 3 year contract

Grant and Danny in full panic, lol. FA has been open for just 2 hours.
In other news, Grant and Danny are the radio version of incompetent clickbate morons.

Along with Chris Russell, the absolute worst listens out there.
Chris Russell (long pause) couldn't find (long pause) a coheRENT (long pause) thought if it came up (long pause) and kicked him in the (REALLY LONG PAUSE) nuts.

I'm sure he's an intelligent guy, but he comes off as a blithering idiot and has the most annoying speech pattern of anybody I've ever listened to.

(I'm wondering if it's worth it to skinsinparadise to defend "Russelmania's" honor.

Darnold to Seahawks:

There has been a ghost siting in Seattle

Dude did catch a really big catch in the AFC Championship game. So, JAY WAS RIGHT! (actually, he wasn't.)

Fields will get the starting gig on the Jets. Interesting. Glad to see him get a chance. Dude is fun to watch.
Counterpoint: Fields sucks stale dead donkey butt and the Jets are going to be REALLY bad.

Somewhere, Jay Gruden is smiling
He's not just smiling, he's totally excited. He's going to go on X and brag about how right he and prance around and show off. If he hasn't done so already.

a "meh" career would be an upgrade for Dyami. Dude has averaged 150 yards and 1 TD per season since he was drafted. And his career numbers only look this stellar because he had a few good games at the end of the season with Jayden.

They can pay him $10m. I wouldn't. I'm glad Peter's didn't.

Oh, and JD5 is already better than Lawrence. Good luck with that Jags.

Yeah. For 10 mill you had to let Dyami walk. You have a chance to sign an older stop gap vet for less than that. Who would most likely give you better production. Dyami does have speed though.

That Darnold contract is going to age like Mama June.

Seahawks just got rid of both of their talented WRs, and the cupboard is basically bare at the skill positions. I think we see vintage Darnold for the next 2 years before Seattle cuts bait.
If the Seahawks play their cards right, they draft a QB in the middle of the draft and they'll be fine. Everyone remembers Russell Wilson. Nobody remembers that Matt Flynn was one of their prized free agents that season.

defo too much for Dyami, but wish him well. I appreciated that he kept grinding after Noah Brown and OZ were signed and he wasn't getting playing time until he was given an opportunity and made the most of it. I think he'll be good for the Jags.

So besides Ward and or Holland we have screwed the pooch on every possible player that could be an upgrade for us I am rather shocked right now
